."𝐘/𝐍...?" 𝐒𝐄𝐎𝐊 𝐘𝐔-𝐉𝐔𝐍 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐃, his voice barely above a whisper, as if speaking too loudly would shatter the fragile calmness of the moment. He couldn't believe it — she was here, right in front of him, safe. For a moment, they simply stared at each other. But then, as if breaking free from a trance, Seok rushed forward, closing the distance between them in a matter of seconds.
Without a second thought, he pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly against his chest.
Y/n gasped in surprise at the sudden embrace, but then she melted into him, her own arms wrapping around his waist. Seok buried his face into the crook of her neck, his breaths coming out in ragged bursts as he quietly wept against her shoulder. "그렇게 날 무섭게 하지마!" He shouted hoarsely, his voice muffled by her hair. "Don't scare me like that!" He held onto her tighter. "I thought... I thought I had lost you."
Y/n's heart ached at the sound in his voice, at the raw emotion pouring out of him. She gently stroked his back, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of his head before she whispered, "I'm here, I'm okay. We're okay." She reassured. They stayed like that for what felt like an eternity, wrapped up in each other's arms, finding solace amid chaos. Outside, the infected prowled the train, their guttural moans a constant reminder of the danger lurking just beyond the bathroom door. But here, at this moment, all that mattered was the warmth of each other's embrace, it was like Seok felt like if he were to let go, he would never see Y/n again and if that were the case, then he'd happily keep her in his arms until they worm their way out of this mess.
Reluctantly, Seok pulled back slightly, knowing he'd have to peel his body away from hers eventually. His tear-streaked eyes met hers with an intensity that took her breath away. The connection between them felt almost tangible, a lifeline in the storm of chaos swirling outside the bathroom. Seok spent the next few moments interlocking his gaze with Y/n's, a silent conversation passing between them. His eyes then trailed downward, settling on her lips, and he couldn't help but purse his own together. His gaze began to dance, bouncing from her eyes to her lips and back again, a silent struggle playing out in his mind.
His breath hitched as he hesitantly leaned forward, the distance between them shrinking with each passing second. The world outside their bubble seemed to fade into insignificance, the danger momentarily forgotten as they moved closer to each other. Seok's hand cupped her cheek gently, his thumb brushing away a stray tear, and Y/n's eyes fluttered shut, her breath mingling with his. Their lips were mere inches apart, and Seok could almost feel the warmth radiating from her.
But before they could close the gap, a gruff voice shattered the fragile moment. "Get that out of my face." Sang-Hwa groaned, causing Seok to meekly pull back, his hand lingering on Y/n's cheek for a moment longer before dropping to his side. He turned his head only to find that the older man was talking to Yong-guk, moving the baseball away from him before leaning forward to address Seok-Woo. "Yo. Jerk," he called out, making the businessman slowly look up at him. "Felt good seeing your kid, thanks to me? You grateful or what?" He asked.
Meanwhile, Seok-Woo was preoccupied with typing away his phone, but that didn't stop him from asking, "Why is your ringtone so tacky?"
"What's wrong with it? How do I change it?" Sang-Hwa questioned but as soon as he let the second query leave his lips, Yong-guk couldn't help but chuckle. He was so old! "Am I funny? You little rat?" The burly man raised a brow, causing the boy's smile to drop whilst Seok & Y/n could only look on in amusement as Sang-Hwa then pinched Yong-guk's ear before asking, "How tall are you?"
