Principal Nedzu’s grin had always been a little frightening, but Izuku knew it also meant that things were likely to get done about twice as fast as they would otherwise. This was a good thing.
“It would be helpful if you would be willing to give me a quick summary of your work experiences and goals moving forwards. Additionally, I will need full names, birthdates, and the names of organizations that your younger selves have ties with currently. Full disclosure about your quirks would also be useful, and from that information we can make the needed modifications!” Principal Nedzu rattled off.
“Like hell! You want to give a younger Izuku information on everything that goes bad in the future? We’re not sayin’ anything until the younguns are out of the room!” Daigoro shouted.
Izuku winced.
“That’s a good point…” he murmured back.
“What was that?” Kacchan asked.
“We need our younger selves to wait outside if we’re going to discuss anything about the future,” Izuku admitted, addressing Principal Nedzu. “They both have heroic spirits, and I don’t want them to think that they need to do anything to help us and commit acts of vigilantism.”
“Is that something we need to be worried about?” Toshinori asked, taken aback.
“Like you were any better!” Nana laughed.
“Yes,” Izuku said.
“Ugh. Yeah, it is. I should have thought of that,” Kacchan agreed.
“What? You can’t drag us all the way here and then make us sit outside for the interesting part!” Baby Kacchan protested.
“I can and I will,” Kacchan growled.
“Your older selves have a point,” Tsukauchi-san said.
“Unexpected backup,” Yoichi noted cheerfully.
“Fine,” Baby Kacchan growled. He stomped out into the hallway, and Baby Izuku hesitantly followed him. Principal Nedzu pushed a button on his desk which shut the door, and then pulled up a security camera on one of his monitors which displayed a picture of their younger selves.
“Alright. You may begin,” Principal Nedzu said.
“Like I said, the future is shit. Starting our first year of high school, All For One started making major moves. His chosen protege and successor, Shigaraki Tomura, starts a group called the League of Villains and attacks UA. Repeatedly. His intention was to kill All Might, but his intentions changed over time,” Kacchan explained.
“Why would they attack UA if their goal was to kill me?” Toshinori asked.
“You started as a teacher there during our first year to oversee your successor’s education.”
“At the end of our first year, things got… much worse,” Izuku began. “All For One used his quirk to create a copy of his own quirk and gifted it to Shigaraki Tomura. Through this copy, AFO was able to possess Shigaraki’s body, melding their consciousness and further twisting Shigaraki into the evil overlord AFO wanted him to be.”
“It’s not your fault,” Nana said, softly. A whispered consensus followed after her words; a surussus of affirmations from the past users.
“AFO used Shigaraki and his League to take over Japan entirely. It was an all-out war from that point forward. The HPSC fell early, and the hero schools became mobile fortresses full of both students and civilians in order to provide any semblance of safety to the larger populations of Japan,” Kacchan explained.
