Mikumo dropped the case file on the kitchen counter of his and Kacchan’s shiny new apartment.
“How many times do I have to tell you to stay out of my kitchen?” Kacchan growled, half-heartedly. Mikumo smiled at him.
“It’s the case file on Imasuji Goto,” he explained. “I thought you should look at it.”
“Who?” Kacchan asked, picking up the file.
“Muscular.”
“Ah, shit. Deku, we have our hands full making plans already. What the hell do we need to mess with this guy for?”
“What, you want Kota’s parents to die?” Mikumo challenged. He knew Kacchan didn’t, but a challenge was the fastest way to get him thinking.
“Woah, harsh!” Daigoro said, jokingly.
“That’s not what I said!”
“Technically, we’ve been making plans to neutralize the League, and technically Muscular is part of the League…”
“Fine, I’ll read the stupid case file!” Kacchan agreed. “Now get out of my kitchen!”

Kacchan was right about being busy with other plans as well, though. They had about a month before the attack that Muscular killed the Water Hose in.
In the meantime, Todoroki Shouto, only thirteen, was still living in a household of abuse and high expectations. The Aoyama family was still living in fear of a debt to a man that is too powerful to defy.
They had their work cut out for them.
Well. Nobody said this was going to be easy.

“I’m just not sure who to put him with,” Mikumo complained.
“As long as we don’t drop him on my mom. I don’t need more siblings,” Kacchan said.
“Kacchan! I’m being serious! We can’t look after Todoroki-kun, but I don’t know who can! For that matter, how are we even going to get him away from Endeavor? Endeavor is the number two hero, he has power. Nobody is going to believe that he mistreats Todoroki-kun without some really solid proof.”
“God, if I had a drink I would take a swig right now. Poor kid,” Nana muttered.
“I think we should put him with the Pussycats,” Kacchan suggested.
“What?”
“The Pussycats. Mandalay, specifically. We already know that they can handle a traumatized kid, and we know that they can train future heroes effectively. If we succeed in saving the Water Hose duo, then the Pussycats aren’t taking care of Kota, so they have the room for Todoroki. Plus, we already know that they’re good at working with and training hero students, so if Todoroki decides he still wants to be a hero, he would still be able to learn and progress with them,” Kacchan explained.
“That’s a pretty good idea, actually,” Hikage agreed.
“Okay, so how do we get him there? We kinda spirited Himiko-chan away, but Todoroki-kun is the son of Endeavor... it’s not going to be that easy.”
“Ugh. Good point,” Yoichi grumbled.
Kacchan shrugged. “Well, my mom had those adoption papers on hand, right? Maybe we can ask her?”

Mikumo and Kacchan arrived at the Bakugou house and quickly discovered that Mikumo’s mom was visiting, as well. They asked their question about adoption anyway.
