“Eri should be about four right now. If her quirk hasn’t manifested yet, then it will in these next few months,” Mikumo started, gesturing at the timeline they had made in the first week here, which had been pinned to the wall of the guest room. “Chisaki took her shortly after her manifestation to start experimenting on her, but it took him a while to actually start creating the temporary quirk-erasing bullets.”
“So how do we find the yakuza?” Kacchan asked, looking over a map of the district that the Shie Hassaikai base had been located in when they had raided it in the future.
“Well, when we raided them in 2XXX, they had this huge underground compound. They’d definitely been there for a while. I’d put money on them being there now. So, it shouldn’t be hard… the hard part will be getting other heroes to work with us to take them down and rescue Eri,” Mikumo mused.
“Why do we need other heroes?”
“Are you really suggesting that we can take down the yakuza without any help?”
“I think you could do it!” Yoichi cheered.
“Are you okay? Sweetheart, I’m being serious this time. Are you sure you’re okay, like, mentally?” Nana asked, addressing Yoichi.
“I’m with Yoichi!” En agreed, enthusiastically, because he could never resist chaos. Mikumo does his level best to ignore them. He’s sure Nana has it handled.
Mikumo was more concerned about whether or not Kacchan thought they could fight the yakuza. Kacchan, pointedly, had not answered him.

The problem with the Shie Hassaikai was that they were good enough to not be on anyone’s radar. Even knowing where the base was, Mikumo didn’t have much information on who they might end up fighting, which was a bad thing. He remembered that Eijirou had come out of that raid injured, but he had no idea who had given him those injuries.
Luckily, help came in the shape of an unexpected phone call.
Tsukauchi-san had summoned them to the station.
“I had a bad feeling about this one when he showed up,” Tsukauchi-san explained. “The longer you work for the police, the more you get a feel for this kind of thing.”
“What do you mean?” Kacchan asked.
“The kind of problem that will become a bigger problem in the future. Lucky for me, I remembered that I now have two actual time travelers who may be able to help.”
Tsukauchi-san led them into the observation room. A nondescript man sat in the adjacent interrogation room.
“He claims he was part of the yakuza, which should have died out after the emergence of quirks. When we asked why he turned himself in, he said that he didn’t like the new management, and figured his chances would be better in prison,” Tsukauchi-san said mildly. He turned to face the Gemstone Duo. “Thoughts?”
A grin slowly spread across Kacchan’s face. His gaze didn’t stray from the gangster.
“This is just the lead we’ve been looking for!” Mikumo cheered.

Apparently, you didn’t have to be very high ranking within the Shie Hassaikai to know things about the Eight Bullets. Armed with the knowledge that the gangster had given them, the Gemstone Duo put in a request for a team-up meeting with several heroes through the Hero Network.
Two nights later, they found themselves in a conference room at Midnight’s agency. It was lucky they got her on board, really; she tended to straddle the line between being a spotlight hero and being an underground hero. The other heroes they had requested both showed up, as expected. Eraserhead and Kesagiriman.
