There were several stolen glances. They seem to drift upon the surrounding atmosphere like raindrops caught in a cloud. The stare was piercing. Almost violent. But intense. It was hard to comprehend what he was thinking whenever he looked at you that way. You tried your best to look away but you felt yourself sinking into that crimson gaze. 

It was intoxicating. There was no need for wine to feel intoxicated when you have the tycoon himself gazing at you the way he did. You could feel your grip slightly wavering as you noticed the glass in your hand slipping somewhat. Your eyes quickly diverted to the glass as you made sure not to drop it, now gently placing it on the table before you. A hard swallow in your throat followed as you dared to look up and his way again. But he wasn't behind the bar anymore. Your eyes widen and you turn your head side to side as you search for him. Where could he have gone?

Soon you feel yourself freeze in the wooden chair as you feel a delicate pat on your shoulder. Slowly you turn your head to look behind you. It felt as though your heart sank, sank into some deep abyss. But not one filled with darkness, no, rather one filled with your own feelings that was eating away at you as your eyes once again met his. It was always so intense. His entire presence was so endearing, so intimidating. 

You weren't sure what to say as you just glanced up at him, the sensation on your skin where he touched you for a moment seemed to burn hot. Suddenly your lips were dry and you couldn't talk. Why now? Earlier you both had quite the deep conversation while on your latest adventure. But now in the current moment you felt yourself enveloped in what seemed like searing flames.

"Are you alright?" Diluc asked as his brows furrowed with some concern, his gloved hand now reaching up to rest on his chin as he usually did when thinking things over. Several blinks followed after his question, finding it difficult to answer him at first. It seemed as though he took note of this and he slightly tilted his head to the side as he admired the very evident blush across your cheeks. 

Now crossing his arms over his chest, he spoke once more. "Why don't you stay over at Dawn Winery tonight?" He asked you, though he understood well enough by now that you won't be able to answer him and so he took a few steps towards the door before turning his head to look back at you. 

"I am about to leave. Accompany me?" Yet again he asked another question, but this time he held a hand out to you. His expression seemed serious as always, but something was different. It was as though his eyes were burning with anticipation.

Without hesitation you reach out and take hold of his hand as you slowly get up from the chair. Still no words. It was impossible to talk in such a moment. All you could think of was what was happening, the fact that your hand was now in his.
