y/n's pov "oh goddd where is he!?" i muttered to myself while standing outside the bathroom door, anxiously tapping my foot.
"where's who? your boyfriend?" i heard a familiar male voice say.
"hey ryan," i sighed, walking over and giving him a hug.
"hey kiddo. what's wrong?" he asked me, noticing my nervous expression. "wait- you didn't correct me when i said boyfriend!" ryan said, staring at my blank face.
"ryan, i swear to god if you say literally anything-" i started to say before he cut me off.
"NO WAY. I WAS RIGHT!? I WAS RIGHT!!" he started squealing like a little girl. "but what's going on?"
"a girl who i thought was my friend listened in on me and walkers phone call and found out that we're dating and told people online, and know almost everyone knows!" i ranted.
"y/n, i'm going to be honest with you, i think everyone already knew." he said. "but anyways, how do you know this girl? it's not mo or mckenna right?"
"no, her names ava, she's walkers ex." i said.
"then why the hell is she your friend? wait- don't tell me she's that girl from the boardwalk?" he asked as i nodded. "y/n i'm not trying to hurt you feelings but did you really not expect this to happen?"
"i know, i'm so stupid walkers gonna be so pissed when he finds out!" i said, putting my hand on my head.
"hey, i'll tell you this: i love that kid so much, but if he is too scared to actually tell people that he's your boyfriend, than maybe he's not someone you should be with," he said. "i have to go, but if you need anything at all tonight, me and anne will be at the table with shawn, okay?"
"thank you ryan," i said, giving him a hug, as i noticed walker walk up to us.
"y/n, what happened?" walker asked me.
"ava must have heard us on the phone, because she told some major news outlet and everyone knows, i just got asked about it in a fucking interview!" i explained, tears forming in my eyes.
"what did you say?" he asked, gently grabbing my arm.
"i just said that i can't fully confirm that and that the two of us have a very close relationship, i mean, i didn't lie right?" i said, with a single tear now starting to fall. "i'm sorry i know we didn't want to make it public im sorry this got out."
"y/n, that's not your fault at all, ava's just a bitch who has something against you for whatever reason. you can't control it, and honestly, who cares at this point! everyone knows anyway, let's just confirm it!" he said.
"what?" i asked, confused.
"well, we don't have to go out and say it, but if someone asks we shouldn't have to deny it. and i mean, if hate gets bad, who cares, your the only person i'm really worried about right now anyways! cmon, let's go eat." he said, smiling as we walked to the dining area.
