Dear Diary,
I am sorry for not writing for a while. A lot has happened since I last wrote in you. The Nazis want to get rid of us! I don't see why, for we have done nothing wrong. Is being Jewish so bad that we deserve to be killed? I honestly do not understand the evil some people in the world hold. While the sun is out and shining, a storm can come out of nowhere and ruin your whole world. That's what it felt like, only a thousand times worst.
Mother and Father try to comfort us, but you can still see the fear lurking in their eyes. Their smiles are forced and their reassurances lack sincerity. I will try and be strong for my parents, as they are going through so much already. I don't know what might happen, but I hope that my family can make it to see a better future. After all, the rainbow always comes after the storm.
Right?
