Dear Diary,

They killed her! They killed my mother! Those heartless men took my mother away from me! As I write this tears of anger spill down my cheeks. Mother got so desperate that she tried to go to the other concentration camp about a mile north. It's where Bernardo and Father are kept.

She wasn't careful enough and got caught. The soldier decided it was best to just get rid of her. I asked one of the nicer soldiers to find out about my brother and father. I really hope they're okay. Life here is getting worse. Not even the kindest soldiers here could make me feel better. If something has happen to the last living people in my family, my heart will go from cracked to shattered.
