Marty had woken up to a pain on his left cheek and a loud, blaring honking. He lifted his head up and heard Dylan say; "finally, you're awake. You're next to impossible to get up, we've tried everything for the last thirty or so minutes and eventually Aaliyah just decided to slap you just so you'd wake up so that annoying honking would stop." He sighed and sat back in his seat.

"What happened?" Marty asked, looking around at his surroundings, his eyes settling on the stereo dashboard. "And why did you wake me up at 7 am?"

Cole sat up a little from the backseat. "Your head had been against the wheel all night-well, since five am-and the horn has been going off nonstop. And the lock to your bag wouldn't open so I couldn't get drunk to drown out the horn. Besides, we still need to pick up Katie."

Marty fumbled around his pockets until he found his phone. "Oh shit, yeah. I'll text her and tell her we're coming to pick her up," Marty said.

Aaliyah and Marty got out of the silver jeep, trading places so she could drive. Aaliyah pulled out of the rest stop and onto the highway while Marty sent a text to Katie.

To Katie; Hey Katie we're on our way. Bring your phone and some clothes and meet at the Quiktrip next to your house. We'll be there in ten minutes

Katie woke up at 6:30, grabbed the biggest bowl she could find and filled it with fruity pebbles, sat down on the living room couch and put on the second season of Grey's Anatomy. What could she say? It was her favorite show at the moment, what with McDreamy and all. He was hot. Well, in her opinion at least. At 7:05 she got a text from Marty that had given her the orders to pack a bag and meet them at the Quicktrip a block or two down the street.

"Shit, I liked this episode," Katie said aloud, but responded;

To Marty; Okay I'm on my way

She slipped her phone in her pocket, paused her show, got up, and walked up stairs to cram as much stuff as possible into her suitcase in a short amount of time. Let me tell you, she had a heck of a time trying to cram everything in such a rush.

Five minutes later, Katie slipped out with a bag full of clothes, her phone, and some money in tow. She ran down the street to Quicktrip and was walking on the road when she heard someone scream "FUCK!" She looked left to see a silver jeep driving down the road and was getting extremely close to hitting her.

Katie jumped out of the way and the car stopped after swerving a little more just a few feet away from her. Dylan and Cole got out of the car and ran to Katie's side.

"Are you okay?" Dylan asked

"Yeah, I'm fine. That was quite an entrance though." Katie said, catching her breath and tossing Cole her bag so he could put it in the back.

"Well, we try." Cole replied.

They got into the car right as Marty and Aaliyah were talking about their little "entrance".

"WHAT THE FUCK AALIYAH?!?! YOU COULD'VE KILLED HER!!!" Marty said, his arms crossed over his chest in clear annoyance.

"I didn't though." Aaliyah commented, starting the jeep back up. "Shouldn't that be worth something?"

"You ran two red lights on the way here and broke several traffic laws! You almost hit someone too." He threw his hands in the air.

"But I didn't, and I got here in under ten minutes." She rolled her eyes, she thought he was being too uptight. Everything and everyone was fine, so what was there to worry about?
