Make a wish

Katakuri's POV

"Katakuri long time no see! And I heard you have found some treasure for me?"
"Mama what are you talking about?"
She already knows! I turned towards brûlée, she turned away! Which was pretty obvious that brûlée told about (y/n) and livid island!
"Katakuri don't act like you don't know anything!"
I couldn't speak! I stood there thinking what to tell!
The smile on her face vanished and had cold look.
"Livid island"
She told in her deep voice.
"I always wanted to get my hands on these kind of ancient bloodline"
"Mama it's just an island with bunch of doctors and nothing else! You won't gain anything from it!"
"Gaining and losing is up to me!"
I stood there thinking what i can do to avoid the misfortune that would come on my girlfriend's land!
"I want that island under my control" I said and hoped she would agree for it.
There was complete silence which made me nervous.
"Okay." She told in most dissatisfied look.
"But my eyes will always be on you"
I nodded and was about to leave the room when-
"You need to get ready for your wedding. I have found you a great bride katakuri."
"I don't want to"
"Then you won't get livid island"
"What"
"Nothing comes for free here"
"I-"
"It's Marriage with livid island or nothing!"
"Give me some time"
"Sure"
I walked with my heart breaking into thousands of pieces.
I almost blamed everything on brûlée.
Thinking if only she didn't send me there and I had never met (y/n). Then I started to blame (y/n) thinking why did she even help me? She could have abandoned me near that shoreline!
But I realised it's my fault for falling in love with her!
I suddenly started to remember every moment I spent with her like a movie.
I badly wanted to see (y/n) few days back but now I don't have the guts to face her. I don't want to meet her and tell her that big mom will take over your island and I am getting married to some other women!
It's a never ending hell loop.
As I was slowly loosing my mind brûlée came and tapped on my hand.
"Ni-san? I am sorry. I didn't have any other choice except this!"
"It's okay"
"But I promise I have not uttered a single word about (y/n)"
"Thank you"
"Will you get married then?"
"No"
"Then?"
"I don't want to be with anyone except (y/n). But I don't want to harm her! It's just-"
"Don't worry I will let (y/n) know about the situation!"
"Don't! Please don't! She will break down! And that too hearing it from you and not me? That's the worst!"
"So what are your intentions then?! Don't tell me you are planing to ghost her?"
"I don't know..."
"What"
"You better decide before I go and tell her!"
Brûlée walked away with the disappointment in her face.

(y/n)....what would you have done in this situation? I wish you were here to help me get out of this shit!
I wish I was not a coward.......

You woke up and saw your mom with cake in her hand and as she started singing "Happy Birthday" song to you.
You burst out laughing and blow the candle and made a wish as your mom looked at you with full of love and a gentle smile.
"You are all grown up now!" She told with a teary eyes.
"Mom! Come on...."
She kissed on your forehead as you cut the cake.
She took the cake and went back to kitchen and told you to take bath and come for breakfast soon.
You still wanted to sleep but your stomach started to growl.

You got ready and came to have your breakfast. The table looked beautiful filled with all of your favourite food!
Your mom knew her way to your heart!
You enjoyed your meal and started to get ready to go to beach house when she stopped you.
"Baby.....how about you stay with me and spend time? We can go shopping? Let's do anything....."
"Mom......"
"Please?"
"But-"
"If he comes back, he will definitely come here! And he will definitely search for you! You don't have to be there alone all the time?"
"You really don't understand my feelings do you?"
"And you are not understanding mine sweetheart" she said with the most sad expression.
Your heart broke looking at her like that!
"Okay! Fine! Let's have a mom and daughter date then!" You told as you smiled at her.
She squeaked in excitement and went to get dressed!
She had planned the whole day and made a list of things you guys will do and visit!
You felt little alive after a really long time!
You realised that you had completely forgotten this part of your life.

The whole day was busy and packed but you had so much fun.
You both went to fair, had a picnic, did lots of shopping, went to salon and got your nails done! It was perfect! You forgot about your heartbreak and had fun after a really long time.
You both were so tired but still tried on all your clothes!
And the night ended with you cuddling up your mom and having a heart to heart talk with her.
As you were falling asleep, somewhere in your heart you wished that you could hear "Happy Birthday" from Katakuri.

You felt a warm breath on your neck and heard a gentle voice whispering "Happy Birthday (y/n)".
Your name could only sound sweeter from his voice.
You knew it was Katakuri.
You forced yourself to wake up from sleep.
But no one was there.
You got out of bed and came near your sit out to find a cupcake with candle and small note mentioning "Make a wish. I love you"
You ran all around your house and near beach house barefoot but he was not there.
You came back to your sit out and sat on it with your dirty feet crossed up.
Tears started to fall down. You felt so much pain.
You took the cup cake, lit the candle and made a wish.
"I wish....I wish.....you are there to wish me on my next birthday as well! And the year after that! And the year after that..... basically till I am alive...."
The cup cake was delicious.
You stared at the stars as you enjoyed your little gift and whispered "Thank you. I love you too."
