The Horizon class Corvette was the passion project of Y/N Nosre. An 1800 ton Guided missile Corvette, however, Y/N under the stress of work has a stroke in his sleep and wakes up a ship man, the embodiment of his design.
however, instead of joining...
Y/N awoke to Purifier's arms wrapped around him, her face Nuzzled into his Shoulder. Y/N didn't mind it. Getting out of bed, he pulled the blanket over her. What made Y/N different from the other Kansen was he wasn't part of any faction as he died before he could sell his design to a navy. He was mercenary then, and was still that way now.
And if designing warships was the only means of putting food on the table, you simply became num to what your clientele did with the vessels you designed for them. He also was on the spectrum himself somewhat, and it meant he didn't have a happy existence in his previous life. All the persecution, the underhanded actions made against him behind his back. He was cemented into his profession as in indirect vengeance against the sort of people who through his entire adult life denied him life and instead made glorified survival be his only livelihood.
The fact these sort of folk died by his ship designs was what made existence suck less and kept him going. He wasn't by any means a good person in his previous life, but all of it became water under the bridge after seeing the several hundredth news story of scum blown to bits by one of his ships
Yeah, he was caring---but to only those he had a relationship with. It was pretty much up theirs to anyone else. In his mind, why care about those doing all they could to work against you? Whoever would try to claim otherwise became blacklisted in his contacts. The dogooders. The fact the Sirens had slaughtered almost all of those sort of folks in their attacks was at least one favor they did the world.
Good riddance.
(A/N. I'm also on the spectrum myself, and Y/N's experience is what life is like for us. Also never court/date/lemon dogooders, Ladies and Gentlemen. they have a disgusting compulsion of imposing arbitrary BS upon those in the name of 'for their own good.'
If they call themselves anything along the lines of 'social crusader/warrior' and the like, Run as far and as fast as you can from them! I've been on the business end of them, and no matter how attractive they are, it's never going to be a good time. Only you know what's for your own good and never forget it.)
Y/N then showered, dressed, and headed forward to the mess. There were marines getting up. One of them was the female marine. Seeing Y/N, she rushed up and said, "Y/N. Good morning."
"Good morning to you too, Lauren. I was going to have breakfast. Care to join?" Lauren agreed as the two went to the mess. Of course this was a step up from his previous life. In his previous life, he had few if any friends. It's not to say he didn't want friends, it's just given his history with people, Y/N was rightfully distrustful of others. I mean you'd be too if you you got to know someone, and just as you thought of them as your friend, they undermine if not outright betray you. As Such Y/N found his new life a welcome change.
As for Lauren, how she and Y/N met two years ago, she had been disowned by her family because she refused to let her own father force himself upon her. Shortly thereafter, she was kicked out, and it was months later, her a bag of bones waiting for death that Y/N carried her back to his ship bridal style.
After months of recovery, she had joined his crew. She thought the world of Y/N and lay down her life if given the word. Y/N also trained her. Turning to Y/N, Lauren asked him, "What of that girl we rescued?"
"Seems she's doing well, we'll be dropping her off at Fiume later today. It's been a few days since she's been aboard, and so far she's not causing trouble."
"Are you sure? She's a Siren," said Lauren.
"I'm paying the cook double to bake cheesecakes for her. These usually cause these girls to behave. I said to her she can have her fill of cake so long as she doesn't harm the ship or the crew," said Y/N.
"And that Siren just agreed?"
"Even I was surprised," said Y/N.
Back in Y/N's room, purifier asked herself why she couldn't stop thinking about Y/N. She blushed thinking how she was bribed to behave using cake. It was pretty good in all honesty.

(Fiume.)
Docking, Y/N left his vessels after it was moored to the dock. Purifier also disembarked from the ship. She'd be lying if she said she didn't enjoy the experience. Turning to Y/N, she said to him, "looks like this is where we part ways...Y/N."
There was a slight frown on her face. She really liked him, however, she'd be his mortal enemy when she sees him again. As much as she disliked it, duty was duty.
"I'll be seeing you around," said Y/N.
Walking up to Y/N, Purifier wrapped her arms around him as kissed him. Breaking this kiss, she said, "Don't. I'll have to sink you if I do."
"I wish things were different," said Y/N.
Purifier closed her eyes and stiffened her lips in a pained expression before releasing Y/N and ruffling his hair. "Careful what you wish for," said Purifier as she left.
Turning, Y/N saw his two sisters and Arethusa---all agape in stunned disbelief at what they just saw. "S-she k-kissed him," sputtered Arethusa.
"Brother!" Said Kodiak, "that was a Siren!"
"Did you two do it?" Asked mink as she strolled up to her brother.
"Excuse me?" Said Arethusa as she rushed up to Y/N and said, You two had S-S-S."
"No nothing like that," answered Y/N, "but there was last night I woke up with her hugging me."
Both Kodiak and Mink were face palming as Arethusa said, "you Slept with her?!"
"Um, yeah," said Y/N
Arethusa was now shaking with tears in her eyes before screaming, and *SLAP*
Arethusa ran back to her ship crying as Kodiak said, "Brother. You're a big idiot! We'll see you at dinner!" And with that, the two shipgirls left a very confused looking Y/N standing there.
