Our Plan from Growing Tensions

"W-We made it..." I said breathless.

It took us a while to get back to the Plaza. I still couldn't get the thought out of my head.

"I guess we should make it back to our houses before something else happens." Lucas said. He put his hand on his chin in a thinking position. "We need Riley and Soup. I've got a plan, but we need to be somewhere alone to discuss it."

Lucas went back to his house to get Riley while I texted Soup. I went and stood by a wall near a back alley.

Good day, mate!

"Huh?" I said hearing a voice with a strange accent. I turned my head around and saw a person with spiky hair that pretty much looked like an afro with mixed colors of pink and purple. His ragged clothes were a pink violet purple with pink and purple stripes. His pupils were light green with hot pink. He had three bracelets dangling. His eyes were filled with purple and didn't really look normal.

"W-who are you?" I asked.

"The name's Spyke. It's nice to meet you, lass." Spyke said with a smirk. I had a bad feeling about this...

"Um...ok...it was...nice to meet you, but I've got to go..." I said petrified. Spyke's eyes were almost impossible to look away from. They made Spyke look devious like he wanted to hunt someone or something down.

"You're in my world now, lass. There's no turning back from this. I don't bite."

I started to back up slowly. A screw driver was lying right next to Spyke's hand. To the right were trembling super sea snails. To the left were...empty shells. "I'll save you" was what was going through my mind right now.

"Hey lass, ya wanna know a little secret? Anytime you see some clothing that you like, I'll be happy to give it to you. For a fair price of course..."

"Um...yeah...I'll come back soon...yeah... It was nice meeting you, Spyke..." I said running off with a light wave.

I ran to the Battle Lobby as fast as I could. Nothing good ever happens when you talk to a hobbo (In my opinion). Soup finally came back and waved at me while running.

"HEY MINDY, I HEARD THE NEWS!" He shouted. He came up to me and asked. "So...what exactly DID happen?"

"I'll tell you when Riley and Lucas get here."

Lucas's P.O.V.

"YOU TWO WERE WHAT?!" Riley shouted.

"Me and Mindy were being chased by a crazy psycho octo girl! That's why I came back to tell you-"

"No no wait...what were you doing out there at Urchin Underpass in the first place? And you KILLED THE GIRL?!"

"N-No, Riley I didn't-" I said hesitating. Riley walked back and forth in stress. I do tend to get into trouble at times...

"Lucas...you went out there and was almost killed. And worst...you put Mindy in danger too! It's like you're always asking for trouble. Who always has to be the grown up around here? You're supposed to be the one in charge. You're my big brother and what're you outside doing? Getting wrecked by a psycho girl..."

"Riley I-"

"What's going to happen to you when we get older, huh? Sometimes I get worried about you. Now...look where your actions have taken you now...putting a life-long friend in danger. What if she comes back again-"

"If you'd just listen-"

"Lucas..."Riley hesitated. Tears started forming on her eyes. "WE CAN'T DO THIS AGAIN! We've already lost someone. I don't want to know what'll happen if I lose you both too...I just can't go through something like that again.....not again...."

Riley clenched her fists and sat on her bed. Her hands went over her face and things were from tears to crying out loudly. "A-All I want to do is see him again..."

"Riley...I know you miss him. I do too, but the situation we're in now is not like back then. We're going to get through this." Lucas said. Riley hugged me and hugged me tight. "I can't lose you too..."

"Riley you can't tell mom and dad about this."

Riley looked up and frowned."Give me a reason why I shouldn't. You told me the same thing last time and look what happened."

I looked at her straightforward. "Because it would probably put the two of them in danger as well."

"Riley...it's not our fault. The octo girl said something about hunting us down. We came back here, so you could help us with our plan just in case she comes back again. Hopefully we'll figure out why she wants us."

"Lucas...you better not screw this plan up..."

Back at the Lobby

Mindy's P.O.V.

"We're back." Lucas said coming towards me.

"It's about time. I was getting a bit impatient." Soup said. "So...what exactly happened?"

"Me and Lucas were being chased by an octo girl in Urchin Underpass. We don't know who she is or what she wants with us and that's why I brought you guys here to discuss a plan."

"Okay. Riley, Soup, I need you guys to gather up all the squid kids who are doing turf wars tomorrow."

"Hey look, it's James and...those losers?!?"

"What is he doing?"

"I don't know, but we're gonna find out."

I heard sounds of foot tapping. It was Nevaeh and Evan.

"Don't look now you guys." Soup said.

"What...why, Soup?" Riley asked concerned.

"JUST DON'T...OK?" Soup murmed.

"Sup, James?" Evan said. "Mom says that we're having octo sandwiches for lunch."

Nevaeh put her hands on her hips. "What're you doing hanging out with these losers?"

"Big brother James, don't hang out with these fools."whined Evan."We thought you were cooler than that."moaned the two at the same time.

Soup stepped up. "Their not losers you guys. Their my friends who're...actually really cool."

Nevaeh shook her head in disappointment. "Whatever. Let's just get back home so I can have my beauty sleep."

"You look like you need to hibernate..." I said. Nevaeh put her eyes on me. "Did I mention I saw you on TV...Mindy?"

How does she know my name?

"....What channel?"I asked.

"....Animal Planet" She said smirking.

WHY YOU LITTLE-- WAIT TILL I GET MY HANDS ON YOU YOU LITTLE BIT--

"Oh god..." Soup said mortified.
