The next morning

Lucas's P.O.V.

I just couldn't stop thinking about what happened last night. I almost kissed Mindy without hesitation. I don't know...it just sort of happened. I was caught up in the moment...maybe a bit too caught up.

Maybe I do like her...I don't know. Well...yeah...I do... How will she react though? Everything that happened last night... What is she going to say? Today is the time for the final battle and...maybe I should give it another go.

Even though things didn't turn out like planned, doesn't mean I can't try again. Now is probably the time to tell her. I just need the perfect moment to do it. We all woke up early.

"Whelp...you guys ready?" Agent 1 asked. "LET'S WOOP SOME OCTO BUTT!" Agent 2 beamed. "YAYER!" Agent 1 said in a booming voice.

Why do I have a feeling that those two are the Squid Sisters? Mindy came up to me and nudged my arm. "Last night was fun!" she beamed.

I blushed. "Uh...yeah, I guess it was."

BEEP BEEP!

Soup was calling from the communication device they were working on. It sure took them a while to get the job done. "Can you guys hear us?" Soup asked.

"....How long did it take you guys to fix that thing?" I asked. "Not long. There were some technical difficulties, but it's up and running now!"

"Guys...I need to tell you something. We're about to go inside a UFO that we saw before. If me and Mindy don't make it back, I just want to let you know that I love you guys and that you've helped make this the best summer ever."

"Big bro, we're rooting for ya all the way!" Riley beamed.

"Yeah, we've got your back! Heh...it was kind of hard to believe you guys made it so far at first. I know you guys can put a stop to whoever is causing this." Soup said.

The one thing I noticed after that was Mindy crying and fapping her face. "...don't cry, Mindy." I beamed.

"I can't help it! This is just so emotional! Don't judge me..." she said turning her head to the side. I raised one eyebrow in question. "Why would I do that?"

"I ship it like a boat!" Riley whispered as both her and Soup were softly snickering. "There's no telling how long it'll take before the ship sails...." I sat there and blushed. "Wait till I get back there..." Thank God Mindy didn't here that...

.......or did she?

"C'mon you squiddies! There's no time to waste. Let's get a move on."

We all made it to a spawn point that would launch us up to the UFO. "We'll go on ahead. Agent 2 and I have a backup plan set up." Agent 1 said as the two were launched into the UFO.

"You ready for this, Lucas?" Mindy asked looking at the UFO. "No matter what's up there waiting for us, I know we can beat it as a team!" I nodded my head. "Well come on, then!" Mindy said grabbing my hand. She kept laughing while she was flying in the air.

As soon as she stepped on the spaceship, my heart started to pound fast.

"Let's finish this-"

"Mindy, wait!" I said quickly cutting her off. "Huh?" she asked as she turned around in question. I walked up to her and started to hold on to her hands. "Lucas?! What're you...? We gotta go!"

"I know, but...Mindy. This might be our final battle and....And if the worst happens....I- I need to tell you something." I placed the both of my hands softly on her cheeks. "Mindy....I..."
