Keegan pov:

I hear some voices, but they sound muffled, like I'm underwater. My thoughts are murky, trying to think is like trying to swim to the surface with something pulling me back down.

After what seemed like an eternity in darkness, I finally gain some consciousness. My head is pounding and my mouth feels like it's stuffed with cotton. They must've used some really strong knockout gas, usually I only feel like that after an injection.

I mean, hey, they have to train us for this somehow, and we don't necessarily use the most legal methods for training.

I try moving my hands to see how badly I'm drugged. My hands don't move.

Weird, I must be really knocked.

I try moving my hands again, but they feel restricted by something.

I look down, realizing my hands are behind my back and surely tied. Each of my legs are also tied to a different leg of the chair.

Well shit.

I don't even know where my teammates went. Were they captured like me? Did they escape? Were they being tortured?

I hope to God and sunny Jesus they got away.

I'd kill myself if anything happened to them... no, I'd kill the people who did things to them.

I look around, trying to find anything to get me out of here. These people know how to hold someone hostage. There isn't anything near me, and I can't move the chair anywhere. With my luck it's just going to fall sideways and I'll be in an even worse position than I started.

They took away all my knives and grenades in my vest. Thank god they didn't tape my mouth shut.

A while has passed. So far I've noticed there aren't any visible cameras in here. There is a table over in the corner. Not sure what it's for, although it appears to have... blood stains on it?

Oh well, I guess I did sign up for this.

Konig pov:

"He's awake."

I look up from the computer that I was working on, going over to where Zero was. Horangi was already there, examining the heartbeat sensor on the monitor.

The monitor showed a regular heartbeat, a bit higher then normal, which was different from the heartbeat that was displayed for the last couple of hours.

"Alright, who's going to check on the soldier?" Horangi asks, closing the tab on the monitor.

"His name is Keegan." I say before I could stop myself.

"What do you mean? You know him or something?" Zero asks, looking at me skeptically.

"No, I just... saw a patch on his vest. I assumed it was him name." I say, getting a little nervous.

"That makes sense, did you find anything about who he works with?" Horangi asks me, putting a hand on the small of my back.

"No, I didn't." I say, grateful that Horangi saved me a bit.

Horangi is the only person I've really talked to about my anxiety, and he helps me with it. Sometimes I almost feel like I don't have it... almost.

"Konig" Zero says, snapping me out of my trance. "You should go check up on Keegan, since you know so much about him."

"O-okay." I say, giving Horangi a slight nod as I slip out of the room.

I walk down the corridor, lit up by the ugly fluorescent lights.
