The next morning I walk up still remember last night like a fresh wound. I've been feeling a lot better and almost refreshed and I had this confidence to go talk to Brady. I have not talked to him in a long time and I really hope he's ok. I threw my robe on and walked down stairs seeing my mom sitting at the island eating some pancakes.

" good morning my sweet girl." She said as I looked at her giving her a hug
Not saying anything else
" well this is new." She laughed
" I found something and I think you might want to see it." I said running back upstairs grabbing the box
When I came back down stairs I was mom had put pancakes in my spot. I sat down next to her pushing the box towards her.

" what is this." She said chewing her food opening it
She picked up a picture seeing me and dad sitting on the hospital bed.
" oh honey." She said holding back tears
" mom I feel like where trying to forget the whole dad thing and I feel like we let his spirit slip away." I said as a tear rolled down my face
" your so right, I miss your father so much, he was so young." She said
" we should hang these pictures up." I said pulling away from the hug

We stood up and put most of the pictures in the box on the fridge door and other places around the house. I then heard my phone ring

Emily💋:
Hey girly I miss you so much
and I know you're busy
but would you like
to go to my school prom
with me and my boyfriend,
kind of like a reason to see you.

Palmy:
Omg yes I would love to so much,
should I bring someone???

Emily💋:
Yes bring who ever
you want!!❤️

So Emily and I are 2 years apart I met her in softball when I did softball, and we have been close ever since. She's a junior so that's the only time I'll ever really be going to a prom since I'm a freshman and I do online school.

" hey mom, Emily invited me to her schools prom." I said walking up to her bedroom
" really honey! That's great!" She said
" yeah it really is! Also I hope you don't mind but I really need to go fix something so would you mind dropping me off at Brady's house?" I asked her
" for sure, right now?" She asked

" yeah let me get dressed real quick." I said running to my room
I put on a plain tank top and Jean shorts.
" ok I'm ready." As I tied my converse
We hoped into the car as we drove to the noon's house.
When we got there mom dropped me off and drove away. I was really nervous to talk to him, what if he doesn't like me anymore, what if he hates me!

I swallowed my fear and knocked on the door.
After a few seconds the door opened
" hell- oh it's you." He said looking upset
" yes it is, can I come in?" I asked
" umm maybe another time." He said starting to close the door
" wait please." I said holding the door open
" fine." He said
I followed him to the living room as we sat on opposite sides.
" is your brother or parents here?" I ask
" no, ok why are you here?" He asked
" I just want to talk." I said

" about what, listen I should have never kissed you, I don't know why I thought you would like me, I mean you told me that you like Walker but I thought since he just left you like that, and know you just like him again I guess I just didn't understand." Brady said
" wow, ok Brady I was not upset about you kissing me at all, I was just surprised and I knew if I kissed you back I thought you would tell me it was a mistake and friend zone me again, I was just scared." I said

" I understand, and I don't understand why I kissed you I don't want to ruin this friendship and I don't want to rush anything." He said
" oh Brady come here." I said pulling him into a hug
We sat there soaking in each others love. But a wave of remembrance came back, this was just like last night with Walker. I feel like I'm reliving yesterday with a new person.

" so I got invited to my friends prom and k was wondering if you want to come with?" I asked
" yes I would love to." He said smiling
