'My Lord please stop! Don't!' Jynx screamed as Severus forced her to look into the wicked eyes of the man they had so willingly chosen to follow. His soulless eyes lock onto hers, cold and reptilian. She struggles against Severus' grasp on her face, but the world has already started to turn.

She stands outside a quaint home, she can feel the warmth and love resonating from it. It causes her stomach to curdle. She grips her wand tighter in her fingers as she approaches the door. Rage burns in her chest as the door is blown to pieces, a woman's scream erupts from the other side.

A man stands from his position on the couch, he turns ready to defend his family but she quickly tears him down. His body lays lifeless at her feet, his dead eyes staring up at her. A disgusted sneer forms on her lips.

Her feet move toward the stairs where the woman's scream came from. She follows the noise, the sounds of panicked movements. A soft voice attempts to soothe the cries that are now filling the air. Jynx pulls, her chest heaving with the need to stop but her body keeps moving. Her throat tightens, causing her to choke.

Her fingers wrap around the trim of a door, the cries are louder, so much louder. Her eyes prick with tears as she pulls herself into the doorway, a woman thrusts her wand toward her defensively. A wicked laugh pours from Jynx's lips as she lifts her own wand and her fingers twitch with the need to attack.

The chubby cheeks of the child in the crib are shimmering with tears. Jynx pulls again as if trying to separate herself from whatever evil is filtering through her veins. Her body begins to convulse and she crumbles to the floor. A guttural scream bleeds from her  lips and the woman and baby disappear in a spiral of wild colors. Her heart races, and her eyes snap open in panic.

Severus stood over her, his head bent and his hands on her shoulders. Her hand flew to her throat, then her chest. She gasped for air as reality set in around her, the comforter below her was damp with sweat. "What was that?" Severus asked, as he took a seat beside her on the bed.

"What are you doing in my house?" Jynx choked out between ragged breaths.

"You still dream about it, don't you?" His eyes were full of pity and guilt.

"The nightmares are consuming," she answered. "Go away Severus, I'm not going to do it."

She rolled herself tightly into the blanket, away from him. She felt the mattress shift under his movement, but he didn't leave. He laid behind her, his body conforming to hers. The blanket that encased her kept the warmth of him at bay. His arm snaked around her middle and he pulled her to him. "I'll hex you, I swear it," she growled.

As much as she had missed him, he couldn't waltz back into her life this way. She would rather pretend she had never seen him. She wouldn't allow him to hurt her again. "You shouldn't be alone," he whispered as his other arm worked its way under her neck.

"I've been alone for ten years, what makes you think I need you now?" Her tone was razor sharp, meant to cut deep. The hand under her neck moved through her hair and tugged just enough to send a jolt through her body.

His breath was warm on her ear as he pressed his lips to it, "I've always been with you." Chills ran down her spine and her body tensed.

The hand wrapped around her middle worked its way into the blanket, his fingers were cold as they traced her skin. "Severus, don't," she shouted. Though, the truth was she wanted him to. Whatever it was he was planning, she wanted him to continue.

The war between her heart and her body raged inside her as his fingers grazed her body. He didn't listen to her wishes. Her head finally won the war that had been waging, she spun to face him and pressed her hands to his chest. She pushed until he disappeared and hit the floor. "Ouch," he muttered from below her.

"Leave Severus, and don't come back." A tear fell down her cheek as she rolled back toward the shelves on the opposite side of the bed. She heard no argument or noise at all, but she didn't push for an answer. She closed her eyes, hoping for a dreamless sleep.
