(Rin's pov) 

I groaned as I slowly opened my eyes...well ....eye. At first all I saw was white and all I could hear was faint beeping.  Finally my vision and hearing cleared up entirely and I realized where I was exactly. 

I was in a hospital room, my monitor was beeping, I had bandages going over my missing eye, and an IV in my arm. I sat up slowly, wincing slightly. My arms all the way to my feet had thin wrapping of bandages. 

'Must be from the flames...' I thought as I lightly brushed my hand over the bandage on my eye. I turned my head to the side to see myself in a empty room with my blade leaning on a wall. Right then the door opened to show Omi. 

"Hoi idiot, what happened?" I asked. He jumped in surprise and soon settled down with his hand over his heart. "Don't scare me like that!" He said while panting. 

I chuckled cruelly. There was a sound of running feet before Omi was pushed out of the way and ended falling to the ground. "I heard Shadow! You're finally up!" Kurai said happily before running over ready to hug me but I put my hand on her face to keep her away. 

"Hoi, hoi, idiot. I'll get hurt if you hug me!" I shouted aggravated. She calmed down after a couple of minutes and Omi got up. Kurai sat by my side while Omi stood next to her. 

"What happened?" I asked while drinking a glass of water Omi got me. 

"After the tailed beast fight, some ninjas found you and brought you here. Once we found out we rushed over. The Sand Siblings wanted to give you a proper apology when you woke up but apparently there's some serious trouble. The Kazekage was murdered." Kurai said with a sigh.

"Then it can't be helped. How long was I out?" I asked. 

"5 days. Apparently that kid Naruto found a legendary medical nin to heal you. She's also the Hokage. The previous one was killed by Orochimaru." Omi said. "Anything else?" I asked. The two looked at each other.

"What?" I asked feeling the uneasy tension. They both looked back at me. "The Uchiha...joined Orochimaru." Kurai stated. I looked out the window and felt the breeze hit my face. "Not surprising." I muttered. 

Right then there was a knock before the door was opened entirely to show a blonde busty woman followed by a woman holding a pig. 

"Glad to see you're awake. I'm Lady Tsunade and this is my assistant Shizune. " The lady introduced. 

"I'm guessing you're my nurse as well as the Hokage." I stated more then asked. She chuckled before nodding. 

"I'm sorry to inform you, but there was no way of fixing your left eye. The only solution would be to replace it with a prosthetic. Other then that you're healed. Your body will have scars and you need to take it easy otherwise your skin will rip open again." She told me while crossing her arms.

I listened to everything she said with a slight nod. "Anything else?" I asked her, which she answered with a head shake. 

"Then it's best we get going." I said. Before anyone could protest I ripped my IV out and was standing on the pristine tiled floors. "SHADOW!" Omi and Kurai shouted together.

 "Didn't you just he-"Tsunade stopped once she met my determined gaze.

"I heard you quite well." I said while wrapping my bandana around my neck and putting on my jacket that was on a chair. "But you see. I'm a ninja, I can't take it easy. My body isn't built that way." I grabbed my blade and attached it to my back. 

"If you push it too much you won't have a body to work."Tsunade warned behind me. I looked over my shoulder to see her looking at me with slightly narrowed eyes. "You see that's the thing about you Konoha non. You're too soft for your own good."

Her stare intensified slightly making me smirk and turn back to the door. "Thanks for the help."

With that I walked straight out the door with Omi and Kurai following me. I had my hands in the jacket I was wearing while passing by walking patients and doctors. '5 days huh....how irritating..'I thought.

On my way out of the building and on to the dirt path of the hospital entrance I stopped and looked to my right to see Kakashi Hatake. He was leaning on the pillar entrance of the hospital with his arms crossed."Something you want from me?" I asked.

"You sure leaving right now in your condition is the best idea?" 

"I've had enough rest. Unlike most ninja my body can go over its limits." 

"Well your health is ultimately your decision." he said while pushing off the wall and looking at me. "I just wanted to say thank you for helping my students. I fear that Naruto might have been in worse condition then he already is." 

I sighed and ran my hand through my hair. "Don't thank me for anything. The Hidden Cloud village had tasked us with learning about the state of the 9 tails and now that we know we can go home." 

"I don't think you would go as far as to lose your eye..." he trailed off. I released a airy laugh. "An eye is a small price to pay for my village." A wind blew between us. "Hey Shadow!" I looked behind me to see Omi and Karui running over. 

I turned back to Kakashi while placing a senbon in my mouth. "You best be going." I said. He nodded and in an instant he disappeared. 

"For an injured person you sure walk fast!" Omi sighed while catching his breath. "Hmph. Our mission is over. Let's go home you two." I said with a smirk. The two smirked back and with that we headed to the village entrance. 

My body still hurt but it was nothing I couldn't handle. 

When we were exiting Karui and Omi were arguing about something but I completely ignored it. I looked behind me. I smirked when I saw an image of all those who I met here standing there with smiles on their faces.

'Next time I come back, I want to see how strong you all are.'
