Shadow's pov) 

It was finally the final round for the Chunnin exams. We stood in the middle of the arena. "Put on a good show for them." The ninja who'd be starting the matches said. Some people waved *cough* Naruto and Omi *cough*. The rest of us looked around boredly. 

'This is so stupid..' i thought. The ninja started to show us our new schedule. I guess my match was after Shikamaru's. i sighed. "Man why do i always have to wait." i sighed irritated. Karui patted my shoulder with a slight smirk. 

We were all told to go wait somewhere till we were called. As everyone was walking i felt a cold feeling run up my spine. My head didn't move but my eyes glanced up to the side with a bored look. I looked at the Kazekage who was staring at me. 

'He's not the Kazekage...' i thought. 

I  then continued walking acting like i didn't suspect anything. We watched the beginning match. i was looking at the Kazekage as he watched the matches, but he would sometimes stare at the Kazekage. i glared. 

"Hey Shadow you ok? You're tense." Kurai said holding onto my shoulder feling my tenseness. "Nerves." i said. She scoffed. "You're never nervous about your fights." she said narrowing her eyes. i pushed her hand off my shoulder. "Don't worry about it." i said. 

I scanned the arena. Something felt off. "I'll be back." i said turning around to walk out of the arena. The 2 didn't ask me any questions. I walked out of the arena and listened. i just stood out the exit. 

It was quiet. i narrowed my eyes. i saw something twitch in the shadows. I disappeared and reappeared in front of the person with a kunai to his throat. "What are you doing here?" i asked bored. he gulped. He tried to kick my shin, but i just moved and stepped on his leg making it twist into a weird position.

I put my hand over his mouth as he screamed. "Are you going to tell me or do i have to kill you?" i asked whisphering into his ear. he let out labored breaths. I moved my hand. "O-orchimaru-sama! Ambush." he panted out. 

"Tch, he just doesn't learn." i said annoyed. before the guy could utter another word i slit his throat. i laid his dead body in the tree as i jumped down and walked back in. Everyone was cheering. The sand girl, Temari, had won her match. 

"Poor sucker." Omi said boredly eating a lolly pop. "You're up next Shadow." He said with a slight smile, but it faltered when he saw my dark face. 

"What's wrong?" he asked. Kurai faced me. "Keep your eyes peeled...something's wrong." i said. "What do you mean?" Kurai asked. i sighed as i put a hand in my naturally messy hair. "Something bad is going to happen....it has to do with Orochimaru. just stay on the look out." i said. 

They nodded. "Shadow Horo and Kimi Fair! Will you please come down." The protractor called out.i walked out in the middle of the arena. Another girl from the Rock village was already there with a cocky smirk. 

"What the hell is up with that face?" i asked irritated. "I've seen your match before! Your lightning style will not defeat my Earth style!" she said as she flipped her blonde hair. 

"Oh? Then how bout we see if you're theory is right." i yawned. i saw her grit her teeth. "Do not  denigrate me." she hissed. "Oh such a big word? How long did it take you to memorize it?" i asked tauntingly. She growled as the audience laughed. 

"READY! SET! FIGHT!" The protractor yelled. She was the first one to do handsigns. What she and everyone else didn't know is that i put a jutsu on my eye's appearance. 

It looked like my normal color but it was actually the sharigan. i copied the handsigns and performed the same jutsu. Soon the ground in front of both of us formed into a spike and crashed into each other. Her eyes grew wide. "WHAT!" She screeched. 

I gave her no time to recover. i ran through the dust. And when i appeared in front of her out of the dust i sucker punched her into the wall. She flew to the wall but flipped off the wall at the last minute. She did more handsigns and i copied it. 

2 more spikes on both our sides had the same result. "STOP DOING THAT!" She yelled as she ran at me and did handsigns. She spit mud out of her mouth. I made a disgusted face as i jumped up. "That's disgusting." i said. 

I saw some of the mud hit the leaves of the trees that was in the arena and it sizzled. 

'It's not normal mud...it's almost like it's heated to burn me' i thought. i looked at her then did my own handsigns. i was still in mid air. 

"Water style: Water shark bomb jutsu!" i yelled as i landed on a tree and slammed onto the surface. The huge shark raced towards her. She stopped her jutsu and jumped to the side. i smirked. i pulled my right hand back. 

2 kunais from within the shark came out and pierced her back. It was attached to ninja string. She screamed. "HOW!" She yelled. i put the thin invisible strings into my mouth and did more handsigns. Electricity sparked around my hands. 

I grabbed the string. The electricity ran to through the string. Kimi desperately tried to rip out the kunais but was to late as 100 bolts of electricity shocked her body. She screamed as she fell to her knees. 

She did handsigns. my eyes widen. I jumped out of the tree. A large tail of spiky stones shot out. i dropped the string causing the electricity to stop. I put my arms in front of me as i covered myself from all the debris of the branch the rock tail had pierced. 

I looked around and sighed. 'I've been playing for too long.' i thought. i landed on the ground and slammed my hand on it. Another shock of electricity flowed through the ground, breaking it until it reached her. 

This time it was 200 bolts. She screamed louder. The smell of rotting flesh. Everyone covered their noses. i then stopped when i saw she was burned to a crisp and dead. I turned off the sharigan.everyone cheered as i was announced the winner. 

I glanced where the Hokage and Kazekage was sitting. I could see the fake Kazekage, no doubt Orochimaru, stare at me with hunger. I glared. 

I put my senbon in my mouth and walked out of the arena to go back to Omi and Kurai. When i got to them i whispered something in their ears. They nodded, tensing a little but ready.
