Giving thanks

(Sakura's pov)

So we were safe now. Naruto and Sasuke were up and Ino and Lee's team all left. I sighed in content that no one died, but i was still worried about Sasuke-kun. I felt like someone was watching us. I looked up to see Shadow-san in a tree, hidden behind the leaves. 

But when she  knew I saw she moved out of the shadows so I could see her better.

Naruto and Sasuke were arguing so they didn't see her. I smiled and mouth a 'thank you'. She nodded then disappeared. I'm happy that she helped us even if she didn't like us.

We then started moving till we found a clean river. I was digging in my pocket for a clean rag till I felt something. I pulled it out to see it was a Earth scroll, the one we needed. There was a note attached to it. It was from Shadow.

'This is for you, can't wait to fight one of you in the next round.' it said. I smiled a little . Maybe she wasn't as mean as I thought of her to be.

"Hey Sakura'chan!"Naruto called out. I looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "What?" I asked. 

"Did you carry us all the way to that tree and fight those ninjas yourself?" He asked with slight excitement and wonder. "No, I had some help."i answered. "Who?" Sasuke-kun asked confused. "That girl Shadow Horo."I replied nonchalantly. Naruto's eyes were wide. 

"WHAT!?!?! But she's so mean and rude an-" I threw a rock at him and he fell in the water.

"Stop talking  bad about her! She saved our life so shut up! " I yelled defensively.

" Sakura....where did you get that scroll? " Sasuke asked as he pointed the scroll in my hand. I looked down at it then smiled up to Sasuke-kun.

" Oh....Shadow gave it to me. She isn't all that bad....." I shyly admitted. He didn't say anything.  I just sighed and leaned against the tree.

  ' I wish I did something important. ..maybe then Sasuke - kun would actually acknowledge me. " i thought sadly as I reminisced about what I had thought during my shot lived battle with the Sound nin.

                                                                                                                                         
(Shadow's pov)

When we all had our fun we headed to the tower, with no trouble at all. "Well that was fun, while it lasted." Omi said while sucking on his lollipop. "Yea, it was....but now I want this thing to end since mostly everyone is weak." Kurai said. 

I smirked knowing that now that Uchiha has a new power  and his strength isn't the same as before. "No," i said aloud causing the two to face me. "This is where things get interesting."

When we reached the tower we weren't the only ones.There were Sand nins. We had a small staring showdown. Me to the red head, Karui to the blonde, and Omi with kitty man. I could feel a familiar demonic chakara seeping out of the red head's existence. 

His face was emotionless like mine, but i could see the deadly killed intent in them as he tried to keep his inner demon at bay.

I looked away first, eyes closed. "Hmph." I grunted as I walked away with the other 2 behind me.
