It's all too much

𝓒𝓱𝓪𝓹𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓕𝓸𝓾𝓻

Nora's car came speeding to a halt. not even ten seconds later she came tumbling out of the car. Henry was quickly making his way back to the house.

Nora didn't wait for Henry and came straight through the door.

Alex quickly moved from his position on the sofa and started to walk over to the hallway to meet Nora, turns out she was already in the living room before he could even walk out.

He was suddenly engulfed in a tight hug, one that would knock the air out of your lungs. after his initial shock, he reciprocated the hug. he felt a hot liquid fall onto his shirt.

A million things came flashing through Alex's mind of why she would be here in his living room crying at nearly midnight. Did she lose out on a business deal? Did they lose Texas?!

"Hey, hey what's wrong? What happened?"

Nora's eyes were glossed over in tears her eyes puffy and red, showing she must of been crying the whole way here.

Alex gently placed his hands on her shoulders making direct eye contact with her his eyes soft. "Just tell me what happened."

Nora quickly nodded attempting to wipe the endless stream of tears away from
Her eyes.

"Alex..It's Ellen. S-she didn't turn up to a meeting today so they went to find her. Turns out she hasn't been seen all day, not even by your dad. So your dad went into their room to go get her. Maybe she just slept in?"

Alex creased his eyebrows..' what the hell is this leading to' is all he could think of.

Nodding Alex motioned for her to continue. "Y-your dad found your mom.." a gush of sobs was released from her before she could. Even continue.

Alex felt his heartbeat start to race out of control. His eyes became glossy just like Nora's he had a bad feeling about whoever this was leading.

"She was in bed b-but oh god Alex I am so sorry..she was found covered in blood w-with a knife sticking out through her chest.." there was complete silence Alex didn't know how to react what to feel he felt numb. All he could hear was ringing in his ears he just kept staring not even blinking at Nora.

"What do you mean? Who done this?!" Alex shouted
"Alex.. she done it herself... s-she killed herself." Nora pulled Alex into a hug crying into his shoulder. Then suddenly whatever barrier was in Alex's emotions came flooding out like a flood gate he broke into a sob and fell to the floor.

His elbows rested on his knees his hands on his face. The tears kept coming his emotions were going haywire.

His mother would never do this she would never kill herself she was the most loving, caring, happy person you would ever meet. It didn't make sense.

None of this did.

At that moment Henry came bursting in the door. He ran straight to Alex. Pulling him in close to his chest. He placed his hand on his head the other going up and down his back in a comforting manner.

"God Alex I just heard what happened I am so sorry." He whispered to him through tears that were forming of his own.

The room was filled with stillness no sound was heard except the sobbing of the three people that occupied it.

Alex cliched onto Henry's sweater his tears making the shade of blue he wore turn darker each second "H-hen I don't understand. W-why why would she do this??" Alex exclaimed in anguish

"I don't know love. I don't know." Henry continued to comfort Alex. Nora got down on the floor on Alex's other side both Henry and Nora comforted Alex for what felt like days but at most was only a few hours.
