The Car Accident

Chapter Seven

" He's fine" the doctor said with a kind smile on his face.
I finally took a deep breath and exhaled letting go of my death grip on jay's hand. his mother still clutched my arm tightly still concerned for her son.
" he has a minor concussion but that's it , he can go home tonight but make sure to keep a eye on him just in case" the doctor said sternly as if we were children.

I suppressed the urge to roll my eyes and I plastered a fake smile on my face . He quickly wrote a prescription for some painkillers and sent us on our way so we could finally see him . I was so grateful that he was ok I could sing , I don't think I could I could lose one more person in my life. I looked at his door nervous , I couldn't even talk as I took shaky breaths .

Jay and his mom entered the hospital room while i waited outside wanting to just bolt but i knew that i had to be strong and face him .

His mom came back and knowingly smiled at me but it didn't reach her deep brown eyes ,
"why don't you too hang out tonight ? Let me have some time with jay bird for once I'm sure he'll be fine " she said , hugging me quickly . Poor jay was blushing like a tomato as she led him away like a toddler holding his hand.

I took a deep breath and calmed myself down , you can do this Maya I told myself and turned the metal handle . He looked up me his green eyes glowing from beneath his hair stealing my breath away.
His heart rate sped up as I sat by him . "Your a idiot" I said glancing out of the corner of my eye the heart monitor . he half smiled, "I know " and took my hand rubbing it with his thumb.

I shook my head at him gently taking my hand away feeling empty when the Sparks and warmth faded away. "I need the truth Liam , this will never work if I never get the truth " I said seriously .
I was never one to beat around the bush i got it from my mom .

he sighed frowning I could tell he wasn't expecting me to demand answers while he was still in the hospital. " ok I'll tell you but you have to promise you won't tell anyone okay ?" He asked sitting up studying my face.

I nodded my throat felt like it had sand in it as I looked into his eyes , " I am apart of an underground boxing ring and she found out and threatened to expose all of us if she didn't get a kiss " he said and searched my face expecting me to probably freak out and start crying .

Instead I was spitting mad "that's it Jesus Christ Liam that's not a big deal I was apart of it too but I stopped to take care of Jess ! " I yelled throwing my hands up in the air angrily , his eyes widened "you were apart of the ring ?" He asked surprised, his eyes widened at me when i nodded " what the fuck Liam I thought you were like a drug addict or i don't know killed someone! " I exclaimed throwing my hands up in the air .

His sweet laugh rang through my ears as he wrapped his arms around me and hugged me from behind , his breath tickled the hair on my neck "you really think I killed someone ?" He said laughing and I couldn't help but laugh too. I grabbed his shirt in my hand standing on my tip toes to make myself kind of even with him and I kissed him.

I gripped his hair in my hair pulling him into a intense kiss that was full of longing and passion . He pulled me closer pushing me against the bed while his fingers tightly gripped my hips.

I pulled away reminding myself that we are in a hospital right now and anyone could walk in on us at any time . I let go of his shirt and wrapped my arms around his neck giving him a sweeter more innocent kiss which he of course returned happy that I wasn't mad at him and that I was back to being his girlfriend.

I broke the kiss away and smiled "let's go " I said grabbing his hand and intertwined our fingers together . We walked back to my car and Liam got in the passenger seat drowsy from his meds .
his head bobbed up and down because he was trying to stay awake but I cranked up the heat forcing him to doze off while I made the drive to the hotel .
