To Trust a Fae

Chapter 6

In the next few weeks, the winter storm outside was still raging and Aurora and Anna had to stay indoors but they soon made a bond. Some sort of trust and friendship started forming of course not perfect but they seemed to respect and that was all they both wanted.

Anna was finally able to start walking but of course, she couldn't do much activity such as running or climbing since her left leg would start to hurt when she ran but she was glad to have some dependence back in her life. She would walk all over the dresser to get some physical activity back in her and to also help her leg heal. Anna would wonder why Aurora would not let her walk on the wooden floor she would ask him but he simply told her it was far too dangerous for her to be alone, especially on the floor.

In reality, Aurora was scared that she was getting her independence back and would try to run away from him. It was not selfish to say that it was dangerous for her to be on the floor. He was scared that Anna would start fearing him again over his size and the biggest reason was he was scared that he could hurt her by accident. That frightened him. He did give her space by letting her live in his empty dresser drawer.

He made her a bed with animal fur and some wooden furniture such as a chair and a very uneven table. Aurora would apologize over how simple her space was and wish he could give her more things such as silverware, or clothing her size but Anna was very grateful for what she had and would always tell him how much she appreciated him for saving her life.

Aurora had to admit it was nice to hear those words from her and not be alone anymore but he fears that will soon end. He can't keep her here by force. She wants to go home and he will be alone again...*will I be able to let her go?* he thought as he saw Anna sleeping on her bed that he made Aurora start to reflect their behavior in these past weeks. He couldn't help but smile as he remembered.

They both started doing many activities together such as drawing. Aurora used to love drawing and was good at it when he was a young lad but he soon lost interest when his family started treating him poorly. Anna helps him by showing him how to draw. Of course, he drawing skills wasn't the best but she loved the activity.

Aurora would give her some white paper and a few pencils. They were obviously oversized for her but she would draw using them but just standing up and moving the the pencil with her arms. Anna drew him a flower and it was a very beautiful drawing.

Aurora showed her how to draw a rose. Anna would watch him for hours and ask questions about how he was so good at drawing. She asks many things about him but never anything personal. Such as family or why he lived alone.

One time Anna wanted to make some new clothes since she was kinda getting tired of wearing the same clothing every day. Aurora gave her an old cloth material that was from old clothing that didn't fit anymore. He also gave her a sewing thread and stitching needle so she could start making her clothes.

Anna had to admit after a few days she was finally able to make a few tunic shirts that were oversized for her but it was very long. The shirt stopped at her knees and she also made some pants. Anna was very proud of what she could make but she just wished she could change the color of the clothing. Aurora always liked wearing dark clothing but she didn't complain to him.

It was late at night and Aurora couldn't sleep. He had so much to think about especially how their relationship had started to develop and what would happen if she was gone. My life would be back to normal and he honestly didn't want that. It was selfish but he was hoping to ask her soon if Anna could stay with him. He could protect, and provide for her but would she want that?

*I don't believe so...*Aurora thought with a sad sigh he looked out the window and saw the cold night air as the snow started to calm down but it was still snowing lightly. He predicts that the storm will soon be gone...and so will Anna.
