Anna~~

In the next few days, Anna was preparing for this adventure. She had her waist bag that had the essentials such as her blade some bread and her waterskin just in case they needed water. She decided to wear a soft brown dress with a black waist trainer. She also has pants underneath her dress. She wanted to look proper but also knew the cold was near so she was not about to catch a cold.

Anna's brown hair was put up in a loose braid and she hoped Dean would notice how she looked. Anna looked at her bedroom mirror and blushed as she tried not to think about Dean.

It was early morning and she told her family that she was going to work with Tess to help her family start their garden of course a lie but in no time she would come back that same day she thought. Emma knew her secret but didn't say a word and smiled at her sister. Emma told her yesterday that she wanted a rose. I promised her I would get her one.

Anna walked out of her home. Her family still sleeping and not realizing that their eldest daughter has left them.

Dean was outside waiting for her smiling as he greeted Anna.

"You ready my friend," said Dean as he gave her a boyish smile his blond hair was curling up slightly.

"Yes I'm ready to lead the way" she whispered to him as she slightly blushed.

They both started walking and after a while she was kinda confused when he stopped and led her to a steal door as he opened it there was a ladder that led to the surface. Everyone from the community knows this door and it has been locked for centuries and dean was able to figure out the combination to open the door.

Are elders put a lock on the door that few can open only the experience that knows the land? We call them hunters Dean's great-grandfather was a hunter but soon that practice died out since our diet for the community is mostly vegetarian.

This was a start to a new beginning for Anna. She saw that Dean locked the door behind them so no one knew they left and he started climbing up the ladder.

"Stay here for a few minutes I'm going to check if it's safe," he said as he climbed after a few minutes he was gone and Anna got worried since she didn't hear from him until she heard him again.

"Come up it's safe"

Anna started climbing the ladder. As she climbed she noticed her eyes had to adjust as the sunlight started to show and she winced her eyes after a few minutes she got used to it and kept climbing and finally she was at the surface.

Anna's life was changed she couldn't imagine how beautiful it was when she saw the surface. The old stories that she was told didn't do it justice. She saw the trees were lightly brown and the leaves were orange. She was experiencing autumn and it was the best feeling. She looked around her surroundings and saw Dean smiling at her.

"What a beauty right?" He said looking at her.

"Yes, Dean it's better than the stories I have heard but I must ask...why is everything so much bigger? I thought everything was our size?" She asked Dean.

"We are small Anna. This world wasn't made for us. This is still dangerous but I've been here many times and never saw a Fae. " he reassures Anna

"I understand now. I didn't think we were that small but yeah... we are" she whispered as she saw the huge trees and walks. Anna understood now why her community hid from the Faes nothing was built for them. We are just creatures surviving. Anna tried not to think about that subject. She looked at the whole she climbed up to as Dean covered it with some fake grass so no one would know they were home.
