It was another ordinary day at Maiami Second Junior High School. The students were chatting before class, waiting for the bell to ring. As soon as it did, the teacher walked into the room.

"Class, we have four new students joining us today," the teacher said. That got everyone's attention. It wasn't everyday that they got a new student, and it was even rarer that they got more than one in a single day. But four new students? That was completely unheard of! The teacher turned to the door and called out, "You can come in now!"

The door opened and four boys walked in. Everyone was shocked. The four boys all had the same face, and they had dual-colored hair. One of them had black and purple hair that reminded the class of eggplant, the second had blue and yellow hair that looked like a banana, the third had pink and purple hair like a cabbage, and the fourth had red and green hair exactly like a tomato.

"Go ahead and introduce yourselves," the teacher told them.

"I'm Sakaki Yuto," said the eggplant boy.

"I'm Sakaki Yuri," said the cabbage boy.

"I'm Sakaki Yugo," said the bluenana.

"I'm Sakaki Yuya!" said the tomato head.

Unfortunately, they all spoke at the same time, so nobody really caught their names. The only parts of their names that anyone really understood was their surname and the Yu part of their given names.

"Ok, um, how about we try that again, but take turns introducing yourselves?" the teacher suggested.

The four boys all blinked at the same time, then looked at each other. After what appeared to be a full, silent conversation, they each re-introduced themselves one by one. This time everyone actually understood them.

"Alright, so, we're lucky enough to have four empty seats available," the teacher said. "So you four can pick which ones you want to sit in."

The four kids looked at the empty seats. There was one at the front of the room, one in the middle, and two next to each other at the back. The tomato-haired boy, Yuya, made his way to one of the seats in the back, followed by all three of the others. As soon as Yuya sat down, there was a scuffle as his brothers each tried to take the seat next to him.

"No! I wanna sit next to him!" Yugo said, trying to force his way into the seat. Yuri pushed him away, "No! That's my seat!"

Yuto managed to pull the chair out from under them and sat down. "I win!"

Yugo and Yuri glared at him, and Yuri even stomped his foot in frustration. Yuya groaned. "Guyyyyys! Please don't fight!"

"Why are they fighting over a seat like that?" a girl whispered to the boy next to her. The four boys heard her, and Yuto, Yuri, and Yugo all said, "Because Yuya's my favorite brother!"

"Just, pick a seat, you two," the teacher sighed. Yuri and Yugo both glared at Yuto as they made their way to the other two empty seats and sat down. The teacher began the morning lesson, but Yuto, Yuri, and Yugo were all too busy glaring at each other to pay attention. The tension was so strong that it was physically palpable. The hair on the back of everyone's necks was standing up.

Finally the teacher groaned, and turned around. "Okay, fine! Mackfield, switch seats with Yuri, Kurosaki, switch seats with Yugo. Now will you three calm down?"

The boy behind Yuya and the boy next to him opposite of Yuto got up to switch seats with Yuri and Yugo. The two Sakaki boys rushed to claim the newly emptied seats, with Yugo sitting next to Yuya and Yuri sitting behind him. This arrangement seemed to pacify all of the Sakaki boys, and the tension in the room died down. Everyone else breathed a sigh of relief, and the lesson continued as usual.

Yuya tried to pay attention to the lesson, but it was a math lesson and he hated math. Yuto and Yuri were the ones that were good at that subject. Yuya and Yugo tended to copy their brothers' homework and try not to get caught looking at their answers on tests. Yuya glanced over at Yuto, who was taking notes on the lesson.

Yuto felt Yuya's eyes on him and looked up at him. He could feel the tomato's question without him having to ask. The eggplant gave a nod, giving Yuya permission to copy his notes later. Yuya smiled at him in gratitude and turned back to face the front of the class. Having quadruplet telepathy was awesome!
