We Are Family

To School!

Later that morning, the quadruplets and their new friends walked to school together. Zarc's college classes started before they left that day, so he couldn't drive them to school. Besides, there were just too many houseguests for everyone to fit in the minivan.

Yugo was sulking about the fact that Zarc had forbidden him to ride his motorcycle to school, as he technically wasn't old enough to legally ride it. Yuri seemed to find his sulking rather amusing, while Yuya tried to keep the peace with card tricks. It seemed to work, as all three of his brothers immediately began paying attention to him the moment he pulled a deck of cards out of his pocket.

"Yugo, pick a card!" Yuya said after shuffling the deck a bit. Yugo studied the cards fanned out in front of him and, after a bit of going back and forth, he selected one to the far left. Yuya smiled and said, "Okay, memorize it, and then put it back in the deck."

Yuri and Yuto peered over Yugo's shoulder at the card. After a moment, Yugo put it back in the deck and Yuya shuffled it again. Then, he picked out a card and showed it to Yugo. "Is this your card?"

"How do you do that?!" Yugo exclaimed. Yuya giggled and winked as he said, "A magician never reveals his secrets!"

"But Dad revealed his secrets to you!" Yugo whined. "Why can't you tell us?"

"Cuz I promised Dad I wouldn't tell anyone!" Yuya pointed out seriously. "I can't break my promise!"

"You do magic tricks?" Yuri's houseguest asked. He had introduced himself to Yuya earlier that morning. His name was Dennis, and he was the boy who'd been sitting behind Yuya in class the day the quadruplets joined the class until the teacher had him switch with Yuri.

"Yeah!" Yuya said happily. "Dad's a celebrity magician, and he taught me all his tricks!"

Dennis's eyes widened. "Wait, don't tell me... Your dad is Sakaki Yusho?"

"Yep!" the quadruplets said together. Dennis clapped his hands excitedly. "Oh, I'm a huge fan! Do you think you could introduce me to him sometime! I've always wanted to meet him!"

"Yeah, we could definitely introduce you to Dad!" Yugo said. "He's always happy to meet his fans!"

Dennis squealed in excitement, and the quadruplets smiled. Yuya said, "In fact, he's coming home in two weeks for my next gymnastics meet. If you come visit that Friday, I'm sure he'll make time for you!"

Dennis fistpumped and everyone chuckled. "I can't wait to meet him!" he said eagerly. "Do you think he'll autograph my poster of him?"

"Oh, definitely!" Yuya said.
