Lightening arched across the sky as the ship landed into the dockyard. Such a primitive planet that automobiles were yet to be invented. No engines meant no pollution. The water here was fresh and it was a good feeling to breathe in and feel the sea. Being a natural born son of the sea meant that my water abilities were among the most powerful. "Tie up sails! Drop anchor! Supply team stand by, we will be stocking up on the essentials before we finish! Perseus, I believe this is your stop son!" Captain Carrington bellowed from the wheel. He was a large, charismatic man. He served my lord as a faithful shipmaster for years. This planet was probably closest to Earth's actual terrain and culture. Sure there were no ruling deities, and the people have a much more strict internal moral compass.

"Thank you Captain! I wish you fair seas and exceptional weather!"

"Ah you young people don't know the thrill of a good storm!" Did I mention he was a crazy too? He was definitely crazy. I just nod my head and walk onto the the plank, stepping right foot first to keep away bad luck. Sadly luck exists, and it hasn't been kind. Neither have the fates.

I walk into the crowded streets of the capital city. The planet Cyrle was a growing culture, full of life. My black fur coat kept me warm and kept the water from wetting my clothes underneath. My black vambraces are latched over the sleeves and my boots are tied up over my ankles on my leather pants. Blending in somewhat I walked to my destination.

A local trader has been running a slave trafficking ring. While most have that moral compass, some are born in malice, giving them a flipped version of that compass. This man was my target due to his continuous warnings and disobedience.

I step into the tavern which was lit by lanterns that cast shadows across the room. I smirked and shook my head, flicking the water out of my hair. Unruly as ever I try to push it out of my eyes. Utterly failing, I walked to the bar and let my arm fall over the edge. The insignia on my vambrace allowed the bartender to see who I was and he just nodded his head and walked off to the back. My insignia gives me a little more leeway with the locals on a more civilized planet.

I turn my head around to case out the rest of the tavern. The target was sitting in the corner, a good vantage point considering the bad lighting. Also noticing that he sat next to the bathroom, I decided to make a play on that.

I walked into the bathroom, avoiding eye contact with the target. He didn't seem to notice who I was which made me smirk. Sometimes the best kills are from those who aren't smart enough to keep themselves alive. Surveying the bathroom around me I noticed that right where he was sitting, a toilet sat right on the opposite side of the wall. Knowing that I have water powers, I cause the water in the pipes to evaporate, creating elevated pressure in them. I walked out of the bathroom and resumed my seat at the bar. The next thing anyone knew, a toilet exploded behind the man breaking his neck and killing him instantly. To anyone else it would look like a faulty pressure issue in the pipes, but to those who knew who I was and who that man was....lets just say they'd know.

Paying for my drink, I walked out of the tavern with a satisfied smile on my face. The world would be better off without one more free lancing murderer running around. I glanced up and saw the storm starting to break. As the sun gleamed through a crack in the clouds, I thought back to my old life. Seeing Annabeth's smile. Watching her run up the beach with her princess curls bouncing on her shoulders. Life was great. But just as soon as the good memories came, the bad memories replaced them. The sword in her heart. The blood flowing from her and staining the bed. The cake falling from my hands as I sprinted toward her. The blood covering my hands as I lifted her from the stained sheets. The next thing I knew I was flashed into the throne room by Hermes. My father and Athena looked at me in hatred. I just stared forward. Tears falling from my eyes. My face emotionless. My body just sitting there.
