39| after all

"minho? are you home?"
the now 22 year old han said, as he took of his shoes and went inside.

it's been three years since the whole wedding thing, and in those three years, a lot has happened.

first, after a year of living with Minhos grandparents, they sold their house to Minho, because they wanted to move to some warmer country, since they weren't exactly youngest, and wanted to have some peace.
the two boys renovated the inside, adjusting the rooms by their liking.
the biggest room, which was Minhos grandparents bedroom, was turned into Minhos dancing studio, and a smaller room right next to it was turned into a small music room for han.

after han graduated from high school, he became a songwriter and music teacher for kids, he did everything he always wanted.

the same thing goes to Minho, who opened his dance studio for kids in busan, and it became a hit really quickly. they weren't extra rich, but it was enough to enjoy some vacations and buy things they didn't need, but they liked.
they also never needed to worry about money, they always had enough.

they also got three cats, which they named soonie, doongie and dori.
for the past few months, they were even talking about adopting a real kid, but that wasn't something that would happen soon.

heck, they weren't even married yet.

han went inside the living room, just to see a little three fluffy cat boys snuggled up to each other.

"hi my babies, where is your dad?"
han asked, more to himself, as he caressed the cats fur, the cats purring happily.

he decided to check Minhos dancing studio.

jisung went upstairs and opened the door, revealing his boyfriend laying on the ground.

"well look who we have here."
han said as he started walking towards the laying minho.

minho turned his head, just enough so that he could see his boyfriend laying next to him.

"what are you doing?"
han asked, when he laid down.

minho smiled and turned on his side, so that he would be facing han.
"close your eyes."

han obeyed his boyfriend and closed his eyes.

"now, just relax your body. don't think about anything, just focus on the stress leaving your body."

han relaxed his body and tried to relax his mind, which was a little harder, but after a while, he felt at peace.

minho smiled at the sight and gave his boyfriend a kiss on the lips, which the younger immediately returned.

when they pulled away, they exchanged a smile, before minho laid on his back again and pulled han on top of him, breathing his scent.

han smiled and relaxed his body on top of Minhos, just enjoying the physical touch they were exchanging.

"how about we got married?"
Minho suddenly said.

"mhm....wait, what?"
han lifted his head with wide eyes and looked at minho.

minho just gave him a smile.
"we don't have to if you don't want to. you're still pretty young. it was just a-"

"no, no, no, that's not....i would love to marry you, it was just...out of the blue."

minho chuckled.
"yeah, it's true that maybe I should have proposed in some fancy way."

"nope, definitely not, that's too cheesy. I like this. it's simple and you asked me when I was in your arms and I felt safe, I wouldn't have done it any other way." han smiled.

minho smiled back, before connecting their lips in a sweet kiss.
"I don't have a ring tho, I actually didn't think I would ask you that question. I just felt so relaxed and my mind spoke."

han chuckled.
"well, we can go look at rings tomorrow after your lessons."

minho smiled and han, before han put his head down, laying it on top of Minhos chest.

minho wrapped his hands around the younger, smiling to himself as he did so.

all his life, he was waiting for the love of his life to appear, and after long years of waiting, one, young, adorable squirrel came into his life, making him feel things no one else could.

he was his soulmate.

and the red thread, which was connecting their pinkeyes wasn't saying otherwise.
