Subaru: Ain't you umm... a bit close, Petra?
Petra looked over at Emilia with a pout.
Petra: Well, she had you all to herself earlier. It wasn't fair! You don't mind right?
Emilia: Um... It's not like that, Petra-chan. Subaru and I were just... Right! we had important things to talk about!
Petra stuck her tongue out at Emilia.
Petra: I'm not gonna lose to you! You hear me?!
Emilia was a little shocked and confused.
Subaru: Emilia-tan, she's only a kid. You just have to smile and laugh off what kids say.
Subaru pulled the side of his lips up to make a smile.
Emilia: No way. Even if she's a child, I can't take such a lackadaisical attitude.
Subaru: Lackadaisical? Who says that in this day and age?
Emilia pouted.
Emilia: You're teasing me again!
Petra: I'm not a kid!
Subaru: Okay, sorry. I need to thank you, Petra.
Subaru petted Petra's head.
Subaru: You kept your promise to not leave Emilia-tan alone. There are so many people I need to thank when things calm down.
Subaru thought back to what had happened.
Subaru: I'm really grateful to Crusch-san and her gang, and Anastasia-san and her people helped a lot, too. And I hate to admit it, but the same goes for Julius and those guys. Oh and Y/N and Rem for helping me even start what i wanted.
Subaru looked to the person driving the carriage. Best boi Otto!
Subaru: I'm in so much debt now.
Otto: Did you say something, Natsuki-san?
Subaru waved his hand dismissively.
Subaru: Nah, nothing. Just that I'm super grateful to you, too!
Subaru gave Otto a thumbs up.
Otto: Gosh, what brought that on? You're making me blush.
Subaru smiled. Satisfied with everything that has happened.
