Heroes never die, they say
They live forever, in memory, is story
Their legacy forever told, far past their dying day
So often do I witness
Great heroes' memories preservedThey tell me the same thing,
That forever I'll be remembered
I've done great things, accomplished feats,
But they don't know the truth
For if they did, they would not say such thingsI've battled hard and won, it's true,
I've saved my little village
They don't know my reasons, though
And alas, they never willThey tell me heroes never die,
And claim I'll be remembered
But one day they will find the truth,
The truth that I'm no hero
