i hate who i am
i hate that how i feel doesn't line up with how i'm perceived
i hate the way i feel
i hate the way that all hope is lost just by looking in the mirror and seeing long hair
i hate the way i can never correct others when they talk about me
i hate the way i can't even allow myself to think that the way they talk about me as wrong
i hate that i'm supposed to want what i have
and i hate that i don't
i hate the way i'd give anything to be something else
i hate the way my body feels so wrong
i hate the way my mind tells me 'he' or 'they' when someone says 'she'
i hate the way my parents think it's a choice
i hate the way they refuse to believe me
i hate the way religion comes before their child's peace of mind
i hate the way religion comes before my own peace of mind
i hate the way my friends are so accepting
i hate that they allow me to feel hope about who i could be
i hate the way that they care so much
I actually don't know for sure if this even counts as poetry, it might it might not, idk just putting it out there I guess.
All lowercase is a specifically chosen stylistic choice.
