Christmas Morning
Chapter 10 - Updated Jun 22, 2012 - 1,807 characters
I sat in my living room with my parents, grandparents, and cousins. Jason had texted me that morning, telling me to open his gift last. I got clothes and cash from my family. While my younger cousins went to retrieve everyone's stockings and my grandma went to get the Christmas breakfast we always had, I got Jason's gift out.
It was small box, about the size of my hand. It was plain red with a white bow on it. I untied the bow, and ripped off the wrapping paper. Slowly, I took the lid off of the box. Inside, was the most beautiful silver locket. It was shaped like a heart, and had a single blue stone in the center of it. I opened the locket and saw a picture of Jason and me from last year. It was on Halloween, I was dressed as an angel and he was a devil. I smiled.
"Is that from Jason?" My mom asked. I nodded and lifted the delicate necklace out of the box so I could put it on. For the rest of the day, I kept Jason close to my heart.
When he got back from his Grandma's house in Idaho, the first thing I did was pull him into my arms for a welcome back/thank you for the Christmas present/I missed you/ I love you kiss which he gladly returned.
"How was Idaho?" I asked him later when we were hanging out in my house.
"Cold, and boring. There was nothing but potatoes in every direction." He joked. I reached for his hand.
"I really missed you." He kissed my cheek.
"I missed you too." I leaned my head on his shoulder as he brushed his fingers through my hair.
"Jason?" I said quietly.
"Hm?" I turned my face up towards his, he looked down at me with his ocean blue eyes.
"I love you." I murmured. In my heart, I felt it too. He made me whole. He grinned, leaned down, and kissed me softly.
"I love you too."
(Short chapter again, the next one will be longer. Promise!)
