(homophobic language)
Jaybe and Mei talked and walked until they got to the study hall room. Full of people. Some of them looked older than 16 but whatever. People age fast. Jaybe grabbed Mei's wrist and pulled her to some open desks. Mei sat her stuff down and looked Jaybe then the entrance and she did that a couple times til Jaybe noticed.
"Mei? Are you okay?" She asked, Mei's eyes widen as she mouthed 'look'
As Jaybe turned around, Her eyes widened by the second. The girl with long black hair in the door frame of the classroom. There she saw.. Maxine...
And another girl standing by her, probably another one of her minions, Jaybe thought.
"Ugh, Suki can you just go find us seats? Your just hovering around!" Max groaned.
"Oh yeah! Of course!" Suki said before dashing off to find seats.
Suki? Jaybes never heard of a Suki?
Suki started to approach the seats next to Her and Mei.
Oh shit. Was she about to sit down over here? With Max?! Jaybe started to panic. Mei obviously noticed because she grabbed Jaybes hand.
"Hey," Mei started, "it's okay, we can move!"
Jaybe looked at Mei.
"Are you sure?"
"Yea-" Mei didn't even get to finish because books slammed against the desk behind them.
"Heh, I see y'all are still being dikes." Max giggled to herself. Suki didn't laugh, she looked surprised about what Max had said.
"Excuse me?" Jaybe said, getting up.
"You heard me! Don't get your lesbian cooties on me!"
Jaybe's eyes were wide and full of anger.
"Max, I think we should just mov-"
"Shut up Suki!"
And Suki went quiet. Jaybe didn't like that.
"Still mad about the whole Ray deal?" She smirked.
"Still mad you have STDs?" Jaybe blurted out, not even thinking about what she said.
A gasp. A very loud gasp.
" YOU BITCH!" Max said, throwing her hand up ready to slap Jaybe, when a hand grabbed her arm. The hand was obviously a mans, it was huge. Jaybe looked up to see who had been the courageous man. The boy had black hair and the darkest eye bags Jaybes ever seen, 'damn this boy needed sleep' is probably what Marina would've said.
"Let go of me!" Max yelped, snatching her hand away from the boys grip. Max picked up her stuff and moved to the other side to the room, and Suki of course, followed her.
"Hi," the boy said, "can I sit here?"
Jaybe was still in shock from him just grabbing Max's arm like it was nothing. Jaybe finally caught from her trance.
"Oh! Yeah! Of course! "
He sat down where Max was originally.
"Why'd you do that?" Jaybe asked.
"Do what?"
"Y'know, stop Max from knocking the shit out of me. Dammit me and my big mouth!" Jaybe said causing the boy to chuckle.
"I don't know," the boy flushed pink, " just felt right I guess."
Jaybe liked boys like that, brave, stands up for others type of boys.
"I'm Jaybe by the way!"
"Nice to meet you Jaybe, I'm Damien."
Damien? Again never heard of him. Well, he doesn't look the type to be popular.
"Oh! Also this is Mei!" Jaybe said pointing at Mei. As Damien looked over to her, her eyes widened and her cheeks color pink.
She tried her best to hide it but Jaybe noticed. Noticed real fast. She smirked and giggled.
"Sorry she's shy! And she's not very good around boys." Jaybe whispered where only Damien could hear.
"That's okay, I used to not be able to talk to anyone last year or the year before that.."
He was one of the sweetest guys Jaybes ever met, she knew she'd be great friends with him.
This time she was right.
