Chapter 33: A Long Week of Punishment Part 1/2

1 week later...

The sound of drumming fingers on a knee was the only thing that could be heard in the room, Peter was sitting on his bed, staring at the floor, he was frowning slightly as he was upset because he was still punished, his punishment was supposed to be over by now but after the flour mess he and Mr. Stark left in the kitchen, his dad got so upset that he gave him more days of punishment, prolonging the penance and his mother forced him to clean, demanding that every last corner be shiny.

For the mess caused, Tony had apologized to Steve and May and had offered them an excellent cleaning service hired by him to get the kitchen in good condition but they rejected the offer because they wanted to teach Peter a lesson, he couldn't mess like that and get away with it, even if the reason was a game.

Back to the present... Peter stopped touching his knee with his fingers, put his hands together and rested his elbows on his legs, then he took a deep breath and let out a long sigh, he raised his chin and looked at the window, he stayed with a very serious look, thoughtful as he was remembering everything he experienced that week, so many things had happened...

It was very early in the morning, Peter had already had breakfast, had changed and at that moment he was in his room, sitting on top of his bed, tying the laces of one of his beige converse sneakers to protest his father, who was squatting on the floor in front of him and was waiting with his arms crossed for him to finish before placing an anklet bracelet made by Tony Stark on his ankle.

Why? Well, because two days ago Peter had attended classes again and since his father did not want him to fail the punishment of not going out anywhere, he had resorted to the help of Tony, who invented the anklet bracelet so that Peter couldn't leave the school perimeters, since if he were to do so... an alarm was going to sound in the Tower, alerting Tony and his AI, F.R.I.D.A.Y., in which case it was only a matter of the tycoon dialing Rogers' cell phone number and letting him know.

Tony knew that he could have refused Steve's request and not built the anklet bracelet, at the end of the day it seemed to him that the blonde had gone too far with the punishment he had imposed on Peter but he ended up doing what he asked because he didn't want to have him against him, he was the adoptive father of his "possible" son, the more well they got along... the better for both of them.

Matter that within a few hours Tony had already had the perfect invention ready so that Peter would not transgress the punishment, he just had to take it to Steve and the matter was over, he could focus on work again, he had many important matters in the company to attend to and Pepper and Happy were counting on him to do his part so Tony left the anklet bracelet in the back seat of one of his luxury cars, got in and drove to Queens to give it to Cap, doing him a great favor since the blonde was still without a vehicle and if it weren't for Tony's solidarity, he would have had to take a taxi, Steve received the artifact happy and at the same time relieved, then he thanked Stark, waved goodbye and went back into the house, for his part Tony got into the ostentatious silver Audi he had chosen for the occasion and drove back to Manhattan.

The anklet bracelet made by Tony had a very complex operation, it was activated when Peter entered the school, it was programmed to sound an alarm in the Tower in case the teenager left the school perimeters and if he was delayed in arriving at said establishment, it would also ring because he only had half an hour of tolerance and it was impossible to hack it to make it longer, Peter had already tried it during recess, hiding in the janitor's closet so that no one would see him, he had also tried to get the anklet bracelet but couldn't.

However the brown-haired boy would not stop trying, it was a matter of pride because he didn't want to be treated like a prisoner, he felt that he didn't deserve it, he had only dirty the kitchen with a little... okay, with a lot of flour but still it wasn't that bad, his father had gone too far on this occasion and Mr. Stark had not dared to say anything to him, because yes, Peter realized that Tony did not agree with the punishment but he was a coward who did not defend him and on top of that he was doing harm by giving in to his dad's request and building that stupid anklet bracelet. Peter didn't understand why Mr. Stark didn't say anything, in fact it surprised him because more than once he had seen him arguing with his father about him, why not now? If he did not agree with the punishment... why instead of defending him did he go against him, complying with the whims of "Cap"? It was very unfair in Peter's opinion, the situation made him angry.
