Alma had been listening to Bill tell her about his Valentine's Day. Somewhere during the middle of his story, they had repositioned their cuddling bodies where Bill laid on his side, his head propped up with his closed fist and with her horizontal to him with her knees hooked around his hip. While recounting his day, he would absentmindedly rub her soft thighs or trace circles along her bare hip or tummy. Alma enjoyed the sensations as the haze of their shared joint wore off.

Before he began speaking of his night he asked her to just listen before asking questions so that he could run through the details of the night quickly. Though since the first part of his day started with the situation with Tommy, she could not help herself and spoke up.

"He seriously asked you that? You said no right?"

"Alma I just started," Bill admonished. "Of course, I said no. But I don't even know if Bambi knows Tommy even asked me to... you know," he groaned, recalling Tommy's odd proposal. "She didn't behave any differently towards me after it happened."

"Well fuck them," Alma rolled her eyes.

She honored her agreement to stay silent until after he finished after that. She of course responded with facial expressions at points though. He told her everything besides the run-in with Joey Russo. It didn't seem important because nothing had happened during their encounter and it wasn't worth worrying Alma about.

"Okay, now you can ask what you like," he said with a light chuckle once he was finished.

"Well... Payday sounds nice. Seems sweet," she said.

"She was, yeah," he nodded but had a peculiar expression on his face.

"What?"

He bit his lip in thought for a moment. "Well, you know how people who've done long stints in prison behave after being released? Almost like they're still in there even with their newfound freedom?"

"Institutionalized?"

"Right, that's it. Payday seems to behave that way but instead of prison, it's like she's still stuck at the strip club," he sadly grimaced. "Like she speaks to men as if they're customers but unintentionally. She did it to me once and I had to explain that we weren't at work." After accompanying Payday that Valentine's night and being in a setting outside the club it had humanized her a bit. He knew the girls had lives beyond work but he never really hung out with any of them one on one that didn't involve some kind of sexual favor. Though those trysts were far in the past he struggled to shake the guilt of reminiscing those times.

"Oh, that's a bit sad..." Alma frowned. "But is Simion nice to her at least?"

"He is as far as I've seen and at the gym, he's alright too," he nodded. "He can be a bit one-track-minded but he cares a lot about his family though. He talks about his oldest sister a lot."
