The alarm loudly shrieked three times before Alma strained as she reached over to smack it off. She stilled a moment listening out for Echo hoping it didn't wake her but she heard nothing other than Bill snoring behind her. He had her completely engulfed in his arms and a long leg over her hip so that she was essentially pinned to his body and could hardly move. She bumped him with her bottom but he just groaned a little and slid his hand just below her tummy. She stopped when she felt him shift a bit because his body started to respond to her movements involuntarily. She said his name several times but he just wouldn't budge. Even when she tried to move his arms or hands away he held on tighter.

When she managed to push her body back hard against his chest he finally woke up enough to let her go some. Though he still held onto her hip so that her bottom was still connected to his body.

"Do you seriously have to go to work?" Bill grumbled as he slowly woke.

"Bill I take off a lot at work as it is. I'm lucky Darby doesn't mind the hours because he's saving up for his honeymoon."

"Mhmm," he said, lightly grinding himself on her.

"Bill... Echo might be up. I have to check on her." She said but he didn't respond and his movements stopped altogether. It was silent for a moment and cautiously she turned her head only to discover he had just fallen back asleep.

She managed to slide out of his arms and sat at the edge of the bed. Opening her nightstand she silently opened her birth control compact and dry swallowed a pill before putting it back and slowly sliding the drawer closed. She picked up Bill's shirt on the floor and put it on before checking the baby. She was still asleep but even if Alma knew she would be up soon she took the opportunity to wrap her hair up and take a quick shower.

Wrapped in a towel, she checked Echo again and she saw her stirring in her sleep. She approached her crib and lightly rubbed her belly as she woke.

"Good morning, love," she said hushed.

Echo rubbed her sleepy eyes and then she stretched her limbs when her mother unwrapped her from her blanket. Alma lightly laughed and cooed at her as she picked her up.

"Mama," her daughter said sweetly as she rested her head on her shoulder and hugged her neck with her arm.

Alma stripped Echo out of her pajamas and only wearing a new diaper, she left her in the playpen in the living room with some toys and some puffcorn snacks so that she could dress herself quickly.

She tossed the towel in the hamper in the bathroom on the way to her room. She put on a new pair of red panties and went to Bill's side of the bed. He looked rather cozy but she nudged him again and he just turned away from her touch and pulled the covers closer to his body. She just sighed and continued getting herself dressed. He was sleeping hard. She wasn't sure if the sex was just wearing him out or if he genuinely felt so comfortable but he had been difficult to wake since he arrived. They could navigate their days with little hours of sleep. It used to be with the help of coke but since then it was just the heaviness of their grave sin. Alma could sleep better than him and if it weren't for the baby she could probably sleep all day to avoid the world, Bill seemed like he'd rather just sit with it.
