Nobody's POV:
Same Day: Tuesday
...
5:00 PM
"That's him right there. The black hair parted to the side and the Fushiguro body language."
"Uh... Fushiguro body language?"
"Emo, Itadori. Emo."
...
The last week had been the most hectic week of Itadori's life—by a prominent margin.
He had revealed himself to both of his friends. He was tasked with mending his relationship with the irate but saddened Nobara. He was still on his own journey of getting as strong as possible with Gojo as his upper echelon mentor. He was currently on a mission that was only about halfway done—it had turned into a much more sinister plot than any of them could've realized. He was meeting new people left and right, some of whom were people he wished he knew his entire life. He still had the 'dead man' notion to settle amongst Jujutsu Society, along with whatever was going to come out of this whole execution debacle.
Yuji inwardly exhaled as he pinched the bridge of his nose and peered at Nobara, who was quiet but still moving gracefully forward. He supposed she probably had some idea of his volatile week.
Anyway, to cap it all off, he was now investigating some random teenager and his alleged involvement with Mahito and the tragedy of the transfigured humans.
Itadori's eyes glanced upward at the sun amidst the changing season. It reminded him of his heart at the current moment. His eyes dipped down to Nobara—the way the sun shone on her hair was captivating. The air was slightly chilly, but the rays of light pelted on them powerfully.
Nobara now being his friend once more was like a shine of sunlight amidst his chilly soul.
They had been attached to the hip since the rekindling of their friendship during the mall adventure yesterday. This notion was literal because they slept in the same bed for God's sake! Perhaps being separated for a little would do some good. Yuji was sure there was some note of weariness in her body language. She was definitely tired of him, not that he blamed her.
However, first things first, they had to get this mission out of the way.
"Huh, Fushiguro body language equals emo," he repeated, analyzing the formula as he stared at the concrete of the sidewalk beneath his feet. "It'd be awkward going up to the guy just to find out it was the wrong person. How can you even find someone based off of body language?" Yuji asked with a quirk of his eyebrow, Nobara ceasing her steps and turning to him.
"There's a very, very complex answer for that, so let me show you instead so you can understand thoroughly," she stated simply, digging into her uniform pocket with a deadpan expression. She pulled a square object out and shoved it into his face. His eyes widened, then flashed a sheepish look as he rubbed the back of his head.
"I totally forgot we had a picture of him..."
"Mm, you don't say," she retorted, letting out an annoyed but amused breath and beginning her stroll forward again.
The pair, with no special spy outfits and not even trying to be inconspicuous to not draw attention to themselves, walked behind the black haired teen throughout the sidewalks of Tokyo. However, as soon as they were about to close in on him, another figure, who was on the chunkier side of things, stood in front of their target, blocking the end of the sidewalk that led into a crosswalk.
"Is that you, Yoshino? You haven't been yourself ever since the Kinema Cinema incident." A snobby voice poured through the chubby male's mouth, Itadori and Kugisaki turning around and looking off to the side, however, keeping a close ear on the conversation.
