I wake up due to the sound of my annoying alarm

I wake up due to the sound of my annoying alarm. I quickly reach over and turn it off not wanting to wake up my brothers. I look at them and slightly smile seeing they are still deep asleep. Moving too fast wasn't a very smart idea considering the shape I'm in right now. But I only felt it a few seconds after I moved.

I woke up with a killer headache and what made it worse was that the effects of the drugs were fading if not already completely gone. I can't help but crave more. My whole body is burning and aching but I know I have to get up. I need a good shower. I need to scrub the memories of last night away under boiling water.

I look over and realize it's still dark outside I then look over at my rundown clock and see it's 5:00 am. I sigh knowing I forgot to turn my old medication alarm off.
Seeing as I'm already awake and that I wouldn't be able to fall back asleep I force myself to get up. As soon as I stand a wave of dizziness comes over me but I thankfully catch myself with the help of the wall.

I close my eyes and rest my head on the wall as I try and focus on the room not spinning. After a few seconds, I push myself off the wall and limp to my room door. I carefully open the door and peek my head out making sure the coast is clear. To my surprise, I didn't hear James loud snores and I let out a sigh making sure to prepare myself for if he was already awake.

I tip-toe my way out of the room making sure to quietly close the door. I walk into the bathroom making sure to lock the door. I learned the hard way to always lock the door.

Flashback

I am currently home alone in the shower. My second grade class got out of school early because my teacher's wife was giving birth so he had to leave. We didn't have a substitute because the school was already short-staffed so he dismissed us early.

The only downside was parents had to pick their kids up but I knew mine weren't coming. So instead I pointed to a random car while clapping saying that it was my mommy. Since the car just happened to look exactly like my mom's car the teacher who was trying to get us all out as soon as possible let me go.

That's when I began my nice peaceful walk home. It felt so cool to leave school before everyone else. I also enjoyed it because that meant I got to clean the house for Nino. I didn't want him to have to clean all the nasty stuff mom and dad left laying around.

He just turned six a couple of months ago which was crazy! I'm not sure when my birthday is but I think it's coming up soon. I've never celebrated my birthday before. But I'll be seven or maybe I'm already seven turning eight. All I know is that every year I get older. I just don't know the date.

I didn't want Nino to have to clean after a long day of school so I rushed home. Once I was done cleaning I decided to clean myself up because I accidentally got some of James beer on me. I thought the stupid can was empty but it wasn't so it got all over me.
