More Than One Glance

MORNINGS can be awesome especially everytime Eros finds her sleeping soundly on his arms. However, mornings are the most dreaded part of his days because by then he'll discover if today would be the day that she'll forget him. He'd never tell but after all the mornings he endured it was always worth it. She's worth it. It has been weeks since the last time she lost her memory.

Eros had to attend to a special meeting with the other Alphas. Since he was just recently introduced to them. After all, not all of them were as old as Eros is. They made arrangements and such which took two days to finish. When Eros came back, he faced yet another torturous situation.

She has forgotten him. Again.

'Yung tipong ilang araw ka lang nawala, naglaho na lahat ng ala-ala niya sayo. Minsan pakiramdam ni Eros mababaliw na siya sa paranoia niya na baka wala lang talaga siyang halaga kay Nyx kaya gano'n.

There were days he wanted to give up. But everytime he wanted to, ipinaparamdam ni Nyx sa kanya na mahal na mahal siya nito.

She had asked him that same day when they were walking around and checking the needs of their pack members.

"Eros, why me? I tend to forget you every two days or so. I brought a lot of complications and pain to you. Why me?"

In a heartbeat and without hesitation Eros replied, "Why not? I don't care about all the complications you bring. I still want you in my life as my wife."

Napatigil si Nyx sa sinabi ni Eros at pinaningkitan ito ng mata, "Did you just proposed to me?"

Napakamot sa batok si Eros. Hindi niya alam kung wala na naman ba siya sa timing o ano pero kasi nakakabaliw na 'yung ma-paranoid araw-araw. He was surprised he kept his sanity up to now.

"Err... yes?" Alanganin niyang sabi kay Nyx.

"Eh? Seryoso ba? Nag-popropose ka na niyan? Sa lagay na 'yan? Ngayon talaga habang naglalakad tayo?" Sunod-sunod na tanong ng dalaga sa kanya.

"Yeah, Sunshine. I'm serious."

"Okay." -________-

SILENCE.

Oh shit.

"Nyx, galit ka ba?"

"Hindi." -______-

"Di mo ba sasagutin 'yung proposal ko?" Tumayo si Eros sa harapan ni Nyx at nagpa-cute. Kung ano-anong posing ang ginawa niya para lang mawala 'yung straight face ni Nyx.

"Hindi." -______-

Sa isip ni Nyx, 'Bakit naman ako magagalit? Nag propose ka lang naman ng unromantic at walang singsing? Kainis.'

"Eh baket?" = 3=

"Eros, babae ako. Kahit papa'no gusto ko rin naman na may effort 'yung proposal mo sa'kin. Ni wala ka ngang sing sing na dala diyan eh. Syempre kahit papa'no gusto kong maranasan 'yung mga suggestions ko nung si Miss Cupid pa akeyy." tapos nag-walk out na siya para pumuntang kusina o kung saan man.

Natulala na lang si Eros sa sudden outburst ni Nyx. At mayroong malaking tanong sa utak niya, 'Paano ba mag propose?'

How will you prove the woman you love that you can't live without her? How will you put all your love in words? How will you prove yourself worthy as a lifetime companion? How will you make her feel safe with you?

"HINDI KO GUSTO ng super sweet na proposal. Hindi ko gusto 'yung mga tipo ng proposal sa harap ng maraming tao. Korni 'yon." Litanya ni Nyx kay Shane habang nag luluto sila ng hapunan.

"Eh ano bang gusto mo? Nag away pa tuloy kayo ni Alpha."

"Ang gusto ko lang naman kapag may nag propose sa'kin may dalang singsing. Kahit pa galing lang 'yon sa tiangge o simple lang at walang bato, basta singsing. Parang tanga naman kasi 'yang si Eros eh, mag aaya ng kasal wala namang singsing. Kahit naman siguro sa'yo 'yon gawin ni Jack maiinis ka din eh." Saad ni Nyx habang nag hihiwa ng mga sangkap with feelings.
