I closed my eyes,
Knowing very well
That you are just a story
Long back gone forever,
And will never be true

But when I open them again,
I questioned my thoughts,
Cuz why else did I have to find myself,
Securely held in the arms of
My love who was long gone.

You held me so tight,
I could feel your touch,
This rhythmic heartbeat of yours,
And the secret whispers of
You love me too.

I would be lying if I said
I didn't like being with you.
And it won't be even a bit exaggerated
When i say
I would sacrifice my reality
If it meant I could stay near you.

But this fate of ours
Is just so cruel,
I think it just couldn't see us two
Be happy together
And thus, it did something
Which it always does to you

It happened when you
Set me free from your arms,
The cruel soldiers of fate,
They showered the arrows of reality
And set us apart

The last thing I wanted to speak,
That I wanted to say before
You left me alone,
I wanted us to meet again,
At the forest where
Dreams and reality would merged
And Where 'us' could be true.

I did everything I could,
But you still collapsed at last,
Your eyes tightly shut,
And your breath
Slowly falling apart

I went numb, as I knew you would
Leave me soon,
But I was just so helpless
I couldn't do anything but hold onto you

I screamed, i shouted, i begged
With all the remaining energy I had
But as cruel as the fate was,
It just laughed at our plight

I wanted to fight, to kill everyone
Who took you away from me,
But I still couldn't do anything
As heavy darkness suddenly
Covered me

And thus, I woke up with a gasp,
Tears streaming down my cheeks
As i realised, that once again
The wicked fate
Had done it's deed.
