When that crystalline messenger butterfly entered through the barrier of the Mount hut, Lu Yan sensed it. And he knew it was for Mei.

He wanted to see how  genuine she was. That's why he advanced the Eastern deck where she stood. She hid it well, but it didn't go noticed by him. Lu Yan knew she was up to something, and he was wide eyes.

But when Goddess Yan Ki suddenly wisit her out of the blue ,he thought it was from her. It's not that he could read her mind and get to know what it was,but he thought she needed her privacy more than anything.

When Mei herself was surprised with Yan Ki's arrival , Lu Yan understood the message was not from her.

"What was she hiding?" The thought was making him restless. He was someone who appreciated the peace of his mind, so he determined to keep an eye on her from a distance.

This morning, when Yan Ki accompanied Mei outside, Lu Yan couldn't object, and he didn't. But he followed her from behind. He retorted himself he was doing this for her own good.

He could see them ascending the tableland.  Yan Ki brought Mei there as Mei's powers were sealed at the moment. When Sun Shi and Mei first arrived there, Lu Yan sealed their powers. That was a regulation every master followed.  A few days ago, when Sun Shi informed that she had to go back to the god's releam, Lu Yan unsealed her powers and let her go.

That was one reason why he wanted to make sure Mei was safe,as she was powerless for the time being. But little did he know that wasn't the only reason.

Soon, Yan Ki left bidding goodbye to Mei, but she wasn't ready to leave the tableland. She stood there eagerly, looking around, just as she was waiting for someone.

"Who is she waiting for?" Lu Yan thought from where he was.

But he didn't have to wait long. With a swirl of dried leaves, there appeared the guy who they met at the foot of the mountain.

Seeing Mei was so delighted to see him, Lu Yan understood  that was an arranged meeting. For an undiscovered reason, Lu Yan felt his bottled up anger was rising up. He held a branch of a tree in a tight grip.

It was true that they were just talking. It was true Mei was not in danger, and the guy didn't have any intentions to do so,but he fumed with anger.

"Why? ......what does she have to do with someone she just met?" Wrinkles on his forehead shows how troubled and annoyed he was.

Of course, he didn't know Ru Han and Qin Ru's life as Rong Ru ,for he himself dispelled her from upper god's releam and forbid her to set foot their again.

Then he realized he was acting like a mortal human being. He was always a true good, and he had to keep his calm. When comparing  to what he had been through all these years, this was just nothing. But he couldn't collect his thoughts. He didn't know why.

"Let them be. If anything happens to her, that would be due to her own negligence. I have already done what I can do. "

Yes, he was about to  turn back but halted in the midway, seeing the guy advancing her. He was taking small steps towards her ,but it seemed that didn't trouble Mei a bit.

Lu Yan clenched his fist in anger. It was unintentional he didn't know what was happening  to him. The only thing he knew was he couldn't take the sight.

Suddenly changing the air, a harsh wind blew across the table land sweeping it. As a result, Mei was thrown to the very end in a flash.

Lu Yan's eyes widened in shock. He knew what's gonna happen.

The next moment....the next moment, she sprained her ankle.

She knew that was it. She knew she was gonna die. And Lu Yan knew too.
