Chapter 8: Fading away
AS the Kyoto Sister-School Goodwill Event prepares to begin, Gojo speaks over the loudspeaker. He starts the event and both teams run directly into the forested area as Yaga, Gakuganji, Utahime, Satoru and Asami all watched from the crows that were placed.
Todo was first to find them as Itadori brought his knee to his face and the rest scattered. The two fought and Aoi sends Yuuji flying through a few trees on impact.
Before the pink haired boy can get his bearings, Aoi stomps his face until he appears to fall unconscious. Asami watched in worry and started shaking her leg anxiously.
The giant man prepares to move on, but he's surprised when Yuuji gets back up.
"What kind of woman is your type?"
Asami was shooked by the question that came from Todo. She blinked rapidly at the screen as Itadori answered he liked tall girls with big butts. "Oh god" The red haired grabbed her head as Satoru chuckles on her left side.
Yuuji watches confused as Aoi sheds sudden tears, but their moment is interrupted when the rest of the Kyoto Team ambushes Yuuji. The lone first-year is able to avoid Mai's bullets and Kasumi's swordplay before getting surrounded.
'Wait a minute,' Asami thought and looked carefully at the screen. Her eyes going wide of the realisation, "Ay, Principal Gakuganji, I thought we had a deal." Asami spoke as Utahime and Satoru looked at her.
"You think I wouldn't realise what you're planning? Tsk, killing Itadori? A pussy move, I would say."
Utahime almost spits her tea out by her words. "Asami!" Yaga yells. "Whoever kills Itadori, I'll deal with them myself. Even If Noritoshi ends him." Asami threatened as Gakuganji stayed quiet.
Mechamaru and Panda fought. The robot believes he's won but the smoke soon clears, revealing Panda's surprise form, Gorilla Mode.
"Wooho! Go Panda!" Asami stood up and lifted her arms in the air from excitement. She looks around and finds everybody's eyes on her, quietly sitting down and clearing her throat.
Not long after, all the talismans keeping track of the Spirit Bash Race competition burn red.
"I'd love to say Great Teacher Gojo's students exorcised them all, but.." Satoru started as Asami turns her head towards him.
"The charms will burn red for unregistered cursed energy." Yaga added. "You think It's an outsider? some invader?" Asami questions, her arms still resting on the arm chair.
Yaga leaves to check on Master Tengen, leaving Asami, Gakuganji, Utahime and Satoru in charge of securing the students. Mei Mei is also tasked with maintaining communication with everyone as she stays behind.
The four run out as the veil began to complete. Satoru and Asami ran on the roofs, leaving enough space for Utahime and Gakuganji on the floor.
"Gojo! You go on ahead before the veil comes down!" Utahime yelled. "He won't get to it in time! The veil is almost complete!" Asami yelled as she jumps down.
They stand by the veil as Satoru extends him hand only for him to be burned and denied from entering. "Huh?" Asami looks in shock. She looks back to the veil and does the same.
The veil lets out some sparks and burns her palm. She quickly pulls it back to herself and shakes it off as the wound slowly healed.
"You two go ahead. It's seems like the veil doesn't like us that much." Asami stated to the other two. They nod and run inside.
With her hand rested on her hip she turns to Satoru who was quite interested in the veil. "What did the two special-grade curses look like?" She questioned. Satoru pulls out a list of paper and hands it to her.
Asami takes it and looks at two heads, one had a blue head with what looked like a volcano on his head. The other one had his eyes as flowers. The drawing was...something.
"The one with the flowers had the same techniques almost like you."
Asami snaps her head at him,
"Hanami,eh? You remember him and Mahito, they're probably the ones behind all of this." Rin spoke and reminded her vessel.
"This veil won't last long if we combine our techniques and destroy it. You handle the flower special-curse and I'll handle the rest." Satoru spoke. Asami nods in agreement as she felt a touch. She looks down and sees Satoru had grabbed her hand,
"You need to get on top, you know?" He spoke, his eyes not connecting with hers. She pulls her hand back and walks away.
Asami faced Gojo and the veil, preparing to take a run for it. 'Cursed technique:' "Chlorokinesis!" She thought and yelled. The woman sprinted as multiple branches flew from the forest. She jumps on top of them and lands on the veil, looking down at Gojo.
"You need to get on top, you know?" She joked with a laugh escaping her mouth.
_______ Hanami was prepared to use his strongest technique. However, it was destroyed with the veil. Yuuji looks up in shock only to find his two teachers without their covers. He had never seen Asami without her mask.
"H-Huh?! Suzuki-Sensei?! Gojo-sensei!?" Yuuji yelled with his hand shielding his eyes from the light.
"So, Where should we start?" Asami questioned as she was turned to Itadori's direction while Satoru was at Gakuganji's.
"I'll deal with the one that old man is fighting." Satoru spoke and glances at Asami who looked back. He lifts his hand in the air and Asami does the same. The two bring their palms together,
"See you on the other side, Asi. Be careful, I just got you back." He spoke, with his light blue eyes looking at her emerald green ones.
Asami nods and smiles. Satoru teleports down while the red hair jumps down with extreme force. Marks start appearing on her as she straightens up in front of her students.
"Oi, Hanami! Don't make me destroy you, like I created you! Leave now."Rin spoke with an evil grin. Hanami leans his head down,
'Cursed Technique Reversal' Asami thought and leaned her leg back with both of her hands in front, in a position to sprint.
"Yellow"She opens her eyes and extends her two fingers, index and the middle. A yellow mass emerges and with super speed hits Hanami with the trees behind him. Yuuji and Aoi stood in shock, the muscle one falling even more in love with Asami.
Asami sprints up to Hanami who was moved away, but seemed to cover himself in branches for protection.
"Say hello to Mahito for me!" She yells. Black cursed energy surrounded her fist as she punched through the branches and sent Hanami flying backwards.
Just as Asami walked up to him, ready for another punch, the dust disperses away and find the special-grade curse nowhere in sight.
Rin gives control back to Asami who was weakened by such use of cursed energy.
"Suzuki-Sensei!" Itadori's voice seemed faint to her as she heard him and Todo running up to her. Her vision began to get blurry and her head got dizzy.
Just as Asami was about to fall onto the ground, Yuuji slides on his knees towards her and catches her just in time.
"S-Suzuki-sensei?"
Asami's eyes shut close and she had no more power in her body as it became limb.
Itadori quickly stands up and rushes Asami back to the higher-ups, hoping she will be fine.
