Chapter 42: Rejected love Yuta faces Maki with a wooden practice sword. Maki takes him on with a bo staff as Panda and Toge with their female sensei, Asami, watch on. Yuta is strong, but Maki is noticeably faster and more agile. Maki lands a blow when Gojo inadvertently distracts Yuta, then finally takes him down.
Yuta gets onto his feet and glances at Asami who gives him a nod of approval. He and Maki fight again. The Zen'in dodged his attack and Yuta believes he now has an advantage of her not being balanced, but he was wrong. Maki lands down in a split and succeeds of winning another round, hitting him with the end of her bo staff on his head.
Yuta gets onto his feet and requests for another round. Asami, who sat beside Panda hummed, proud of his determination. Satoru joined the three, discussing Yuta's maturing over the past three months at Jujutsu High with Panda. Toge agrees. As Panda notices Maki's changes in behavior, he realizes that she hasn't been able to spar with another weapon user.
Asami smirks when realisation finally hit Panda as he stood up, calling Yuta over. Panda then questioned his teammate of if he prefers big or small breasts.
Gojo held his snicker as Asami facepalmed herself. "Have I taught these kids nothing?" She growled under her breath. Embarrassed, Yuta says he likes them somewhat big.
"Oh for Tengen-sama's sake!" Asami groaned out. Satoru held a laugh inside of him as he scanned over his co-worker's position. She had her elbows rested on the step behind her with her legs crossed on top of another.
Panda does a twirl and excitedly calls out to Maki that she has a chance. "You also have chance with Suzuki-sensei!" Gojo teased, joining in.
"HUH?!" Asami's head snapped to the white-haired. "Oh-uh." Gojo spoke as his expression fell. The next thing he knew, he was being chased by furious Asami around the field. "COME BACK HERE, YOU PERVERT ELSA LOOK ALIKE!"
Their students watch the scene. The three being already used to the two while Yuta watched them with wide eyes especially when Gojo ran on a tree and pushed himself off of it, resulting for Asami to follow doing the same only that the tree broke in half.
After another lap, Asami pushed herself off the ground with multiple peduncles pushing her feet as she landed on Satoru who had fear in his eyes hidden behind the blindfold. He was then tackled to the ground with his head rested on her chest and her biceps choking him. Gojo lets out a wheeze and began tapping Asami's arm.
"I'm-sorry." Satoru wheezed out and was finally released from the grip. After multiple coughs and deep breaths, Gojo finally recovered.
"Now that I dealt with the man-whore," Asami returned to them and noticed now Maki and Panda fighting. She simply ignored Panda's calls for help and turned to Toge,
"Toge, you were specifically requested on a mission. It's a curse you're perfect for. Go exercise it quickly." Asami spoke and Toge with his stern gaze, nodded. "Salmon."
Panda explains to Yuta that Toge is the only grade 2 sorcerer among the first years, which permits him to go on missions alone. Yuta is impressed by the status, and Maki thinks to herself how Yuta still doesn't realize he is more powerful as a special grade.
They were joined by Gojo, who slid next to Asami and placed his arm around her shoulder. He pointed with his index finger and his thumb risen to Yuta, suggesting he should go with Toge since he's also a special grade.
"I'll give you 5 seconds." Asami spoke in a low and threatening tone. "Huh?" Satoru glanced down to the woman, who began counting. She reached the 2 and a katana appeared from her arm which led into her hand as it was fuelled with her curse energy.
Gojo quickly moves his arm away with an awkward chuckle. "You're so cute when you're mad, Asami-chan!" He teased the woman and patted her head before walking away. "Are they..always like that?" Yuta whispered.
"Suzuki-Sensei and that blindfolded dumbass have history behind them." Maki started, "You know...history." Panda lifted his head and spoke, trying to convince Yuta the two teachers had a sexual history.
"PANDA!" Asami yelled when she came back to reality and proceeded what they had just spoken.

At the shopping district, Satoru and Asami are given a report on residual curses left after Toge and Yuta finished. The two investigate for themselves and Gojo immediately notices a scent before taking note of all the property damage.
Asami felt the very familiar cursed energy which led her to where the person was sitting. Closing her eyes, a scene of that man and his kind smile appeared in her head. How he handed her his hand when she fell on the floor.
Ijichi scolds himself for not being more prepared, but Gojo dismisses it as he was simply outclassed. Ijichi asks Gojo if he knows who did it.
Asami, opening her eyes, spoke. "Suguru Geto." Her own low voice saying his name sent chills along her spine. But even after feeling his cursed energy, she couldn't believe it. She didn't want to believe it.
Satoru joined and explained how Suguru is a special grade curse user who was expelled from Jujutsu High along with three others for cursing over 100 normal people to death. Gojo calls him the worst curse user.
Asami with her arms folded against her chest, straightened herself from leaning against the window behind her.She began walking away from them, her arms falling to her sides as the two watched her leave. She couldn't hear Gojo speak badly of their previous best friend.
The person who made Asami welcomed into the school, a sorcerer who understood her position of being on thin ice with the Jujutsu Council and the Higher-Ups. A best friend who always comforted her and greeted her with wide and warm arms. Suguru Geto, A man who fell in love with her, but was left rejected.
