Chapter 43: In another life At the school, Yuta gets a bad feeling, but it is dismissed by his classmates as Gojo and principal Masamichi Yaga watch on.
"We still aren't picking up on any actions from Geto. Are you sure you're not worried over nothing?" Yaga spoke.
Satoru states that it's simply not possible. "There's no way Asami would mistake the residuals of Suguru's cursed energy."
Meanwhile, Asami sat above the room they were having a conversation, on the roof. With her knees brought to her chest and hugging her legs, she watched her students from above. Suddenly, she noticed a curse in the form of a four-winged pelican that drops off Geto and his gang.
Asami's eyes widen as she watched the scene, her eyes still in shock at the sight of Suguru. Geto immediately rushes to introduce himself to Yuta. He attempts to persuade Yuta to his cause, but is interrupted by Gojo. This was Asami's cue.
"Could you stop preaching your crazy beliefs to my students?" She jumped down from the roof next to Gojo with a slight breeze going through his hair from her landing. "Our students." She corrected him.
Geto turned towards the two with a smile, which made Asami's heart skip a beat. "Satoru! Asi! Long time no see!"
Gojo did all the talking and warned Geto to get away from the kids as Yaga and the rest joined them.
Suguru calls out Maki as her clan's "failure," which she doesn't take well. Asami's eyes narrowed on the back of his head as her switch flipped when he insulted Maki. "Watch what you say. Because I don't need any monkeys like you in my world."
"You should watch what you say, 'Guru." Asami cut him off loudly. A tension even grew between them as the woman sent him a cold glare which he returned with a kind one.
Yuta decides that he cannot side with someone who insults his friends. Geto attempts to apologize, but is interrupted once again by Gojo, demanding the reason for his presence.
"To declare war." Geto announces to the school that on December 24th, he and his team will conduct the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons in Shinjuku, Tokyo and Kyoto.
"Did you think we'll just let you leave?" Gojo spoke which made Suguru stop.
Geto threatens the students with several curses one last time before departing with everyone. "Goodbye...Asami-chan." Was the last thing he spoke.
Asami watched him fly away. Her teeth gritted and her fist even tightened, almost drawing blood, at the noises from the curses that surrounded her students. Suddenly, the breeze blew directly into the woman as Gojo turned his attention to her. Her fists have relaxed and she kept her head lowered as her cursed energy surrounded her body. In a second, Asami began walking. Passing through everyone, not a single glance from her as she walked towards the school. Unexpectedly, she stopped before bringing her arm to her chest and extended it to the side. Not a second passed and the curses dispersed in their own pool of blood.
