The rest of the day was uncomfortable for Seb to say the least.  After a burst of energy that he used making love to Jessie in the shower, he was suddenly sapped of energy and was hit by an intense feeling of nausea.  He spent the next couple of hours with his head in the toilet bowl.

Jessie hated seeing him sick, even though it was self inflicted.   There wasn't a lot she could do though, besides provide cuddles when he needed them.  He just had to ride it out

An hour after Seb had arrived back from Max's room Max had sent Jessie a video he'd taken of Daniel discovering his make over.  Jessie had cried laughing.   Daniel had totally freaked out, calling Max all the names under the sun, and had demanded that any photos were deleted.

Max of course refused, and according to the text Max had sent accompanying the video, the only thing that had stopped Daniel arguing with him about it was the urgent need the Australian had suddenly had to go to the toilet.

Late in the afternoon they checked out of the hotel and made their way to the airport, with Martha driving them in their hire car. Seb had stopped vomiting but was still feeling extremely fragile.

Once they had boarded the plane and were in the air he'd fallen asleep, leaving Jessie to her own devices.  She chatted with Martha for a while before deciding to have a sleep herself.

When they'd stopped in Singapore for several hours Seb had felt loads better and even managed to have something to eat.   He'd also informed Jessie that he was never drinking again, a claim that she hadn't believed in the slightest.

The following weeks flew by.  Seb managed to get the fence up around the pond which was a big relief to Jessie.   She still had it in her head that the pond would go against their application to adopt, even though the home visit couldn't have gone any better.  They were still waiting to hear back from the social worker who had visited them though.

They spent some time in Germany with Seb's parents, which Seb really enjoyed.  He didn't spend as much time with them now as he had when he'd lived in Switzerland and missed them a lot.   He'd taken Jessie out on a hike around Heppenheim, showing her the places of his youth, the schools he'd attended, the ice cream parlour he'd always visited on his birthday as a child, and the record store where he'd bought his first album.

Before they knew it,  it was time for them to fly to Baku for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

To their amusement they found that Daniel and Max were still bickering like an old married couple.  Max had indeed sent photographs of Daniel's makeover to several of Daniel's crew, and one of them had made posters and stuck them up inside Daniel's garage, much to Daniel's embarrassment.  Max was acting very smug about his successful revenge on Daniel and mocking him every chance he got.

Jessie had never been to Baku before.  The Azerbaijan Grand Prix hadn't been on the calendar when she'd worked in Formula 1.  She knew Seb was rather fond of the track though.   He'd had multiple podiums there, but the win had been elusive.   After his victory in Australia,  he was feeling buoyant and hopeful of a victory in the capital of Azerbaijan.

However it wasn't meant to be.
Daniel had been on it from FP1, topping all practice sessions, qualifying on pole and winning the race by over ten seconds.

Seb had got another podium though, overtaking Max for second place nine laps from the end, and setting the fastest lap meant he'd come away from Baku with nineteen points.
