Jason's pov
My baby just graduated from college so me and her go back to my small farm house in Nashville. "Why don't ya wanna celebrate, darlin'?" I ask. She smiles. "We'll celebrate, just not with other people." She says. Oh, I think I know where this is going! We walk outside where the light summer breeze brings the smell of honeysuckle and fresh cut hay. The pond has ripples on it. She screams in delight. "What was that?!" I gasp, laughing. She smiles and points over my shoulder. I look back where my tractor sits. "Let's go." She says, taking my hand. "Ok what's so great about a tractor?" I ask. She glares at me. "You know it ain't just a tractor!" She says, making me laugh. I help her into the seat. " get up here!" She says. I laugh and climb up beside her. "You can see the whole farm from here." She whispers. I nod and get down since it's only room for one. She gets on the wheel, towering over me. "Looks like I'm the short one now." I joke. She jumps down. "I like it better when you're the tall one." She says. She leans against the wheel us talking nonsense. The sun starts to go behind the tree line and she puts her hands on my shoulders. I look back at her. "What are ya doin'?" I ask. "I don't know." She says. I put my hands on her hips and kiss her. "Are we celebratin' now?" I ask. She nods and pushes me against the wheel. Our kisses getting deeper and more intimate. I take a deep breath and unbutton her shirt. She grabs mine in her hands. "You know how to plow a field. Let's see if you know the same on a girl." She whispers. Of course I do!
*later*
I take a deep breath as she sits up. "You're the best Jason." She whispers. "Are we still talkin' about what I think we're talkin' about?" I ask. She laughs and nods. I look up and remember she shot my boxers into a tree. "What do we do about those?" I ask. "Leave 'em." She says, making me laugh. I get on my tractor to get them down. She's laying on the ground, her eyes closed. I smirk and drop them right on her. She throws them in surprise. I laugh and climb back down. "That was childish." She says then smiles. She grabs my belt loops and kisses me. "You think that was childish." I say, slowly. I release her from my hold and take off for the house with her chasing after me. I hear her light footsteps behind me. She is fast! I'm about to unlock the gate but she pushes me against it instead and kisses me again. "Got ya." She says, taking the key. We go inside and I collapse to the couch after the very fun but exhausting day. My eyes drift closed.
Miranda's pov
He's asleep on the couch. I sure wore him out. I'm really good at that I guess. His phone rings but I swipe ignore. A knock at the door startles me and wakes him up. "Whoa, musta fallen asleep, huh." He mutters, his voice clogged with sleep. I nod and he gets up to answer the door. He opens it and Luke and Caroline come in. I didn't expect to see them here.
Jason's pov
She covers her chest since she isn't wearing her bra which she left on the porch. I hope they didn't see it. Luke will never let me live it down. "What are you guys doing here?!" I ask. "Somebody graduated." Caroline says. I nod. "But we aren't celebrating today." I say, leading them out. "That was embarrassing!" She gripes, moving the pillow. I smile. "You looked fine. I'd say the finest lookin breasts in the business." I flirt. Her jaw drops. "Jason!" She gasps. "What up?" I ask, sitting down. "Are you talking dirty to me?" She says. I think about it for a second then smile mischievously. "I guess I am. Do you like it?" I whisper. "Have you ever turned the radio up to it's loudest volume?" She asks, confusing me. "Yeah, but what's that gotta do with anything?" I ask. She smiles. "That's how much turned on I am." She whispers.
*the next day*
I'm working on my truck which seems to have sprung a leak. She calls my name so I slide out from under my truck but apparently not enough because I slam my head on the front of it. "Oh, damn." I mutter laying back down, trying to stop seeing three of everything. She comes into view. "Why are you just laying there?" She asks. I smile. "Better question, why aren't you?" I ask. She smirks and lays down beside me. "I hit my head so I was takin' a breather." We both roll back under the truck. "Ya ever worked on a car before?" I ask, grabbing a wrench. She shakes her head. She reaches over barely brushing my arm then takes the wrench out of my hand. I laugh. "What are ya doin'?" I ask. She smiles. "Have ya ever done it under a truck?" She asks, my eyes go wide. "Can't say that I have." I say. I obviously know what she's saying. 2 measly minutes later, I hear a truck pull into my drive making me bolt upright, thus slamming into the damn truck again! I quickly get dressed and slide out from under the truck. It's MY MOM!! What's she doing here. I block the view of her feet under my truck because I'm pretty sure she isn't decent yet. "Hey ma, what brings you here?" I ask. "Your daughter keeps calling me asking for your phone number and I don't know what to tell her!" She shouts really steamed. God dammit why'd she have to say that. Miranda doesn't know I have a daughter. We talk for a bit and she gives me the phone number. I sigh and wipe the oil off my hands. "You have a daughter?!" She gasps, coming out from under my truck. "Look out!" I gasp. Too late. She hits her forehead just like I did. I help her to her feet. "Yeah about 8 years ago. This girl claimed I got her pregnant. I don't think the kid's mine but I ended up being stuck with her." I grumble. "Where is she now?" She asks. "Some boarding school. I sent her there because of touring, I couldn't take care of her." I explain. "What's her name?" "Uh," I rack my brain trying to remember, "I think it was Crystal but like I said I didn't really care. She isn't my daughter as my mom likes to put it." I mutter annoyed with her. "What if she is?" She gapes. "She ain't. She looks nothing like me." I say. "You should call her." She says. "What?! Why?!" I gripe. "You're the only parent she ever knew." She says, making me feel bad. She's right about that. "Ok, babe, I'll call her later today." I say, kissing her cheek. She smiles. "That's my man." She says. I'm not happy about this at all but it keeps her happy so I'll deal with it.
