sugar rush's jay to not participate in born to be album + temporary hiatus

on december 4th, 2023, starlite music released the concept teaser for starverse's upcoming album, born to be. however, the clip did not include jay, which led to speculation and the official statement from starlite music on instagram.

❝ hello, this is starlite music.

we would like to take time to announce the current status regarding jay.

he underwent consultation and examination as he is experiencing extreme stress and anxiety about carrying about scheduled activities and recieved medical advice that he needs rest and treatment.

after careful discussion, jay will not be participating in our recent album, born to be, and will focus on his treatment.

he will take a break and his activities will be resumed after sufficent discussion. he will still participate at the 2023 mbc music festival.

we sincerely apologize for any worry we caused fans.
