 "What have my marital status got to do with business anyway, "I said surprised glaring at her
"Ma'am the head distributor, Mr Cameron Diaz is an ancient man who only works with married men or women"
"Why the hell would he do that, is this because I'm a woman!!"
"No ma'am he also refuses single men, He believes that family men and women have a more stable partnership because they are more responsible and mature in business dealings" she concluded
" I don't need a man in my life to be a good businesswoman "
"What do we do about this ma'am?"
"I will handle it myself since you all can't do anything right" I yelled with a dismiss, using my hands to rub my forehead, T what are you going to do
"Set up an appointment with Mr. Cameron, and also inform the others of the meeting later today, I hate tardiness "
"Yes ma'am," she said leaving the office,

    I need this deal to work, for my plan to work perfectly I need enough money and power for my Revenge plan to work,

      If the New York project launch is not successful, the board will start to question my leadership and I can't let that happen, I will do anything to get this deal, I have worked so hard to get to my current position, and I can't let anything jeopardize this,

      If we don't get good distributors we won't get good investors, a lot of money has already been used to start up this branch,
    I didn't plan for all this I thought it was going to run smoothly due to my reputation in Italy

 "Hey mom, am so sorry for not coming to visit you for a while now, " I said putting the flower I bought on my mother's grave,
"Am sorry I have been so busy lately and could not visit" I sob,

"I miss you so much, I wish you were still here, dad wouldn't have married step witch and we would still be a happy family "
"I got the message you wrote for me in your diary, it was very helpful, and guess what, granddad is no longer angry with you, he forgave you for eloping with Dad"
"I promise my next visit won't take as long "
"I love you, mom"
    
      I walked along the busy street of New York, I missed this, I guess I missed the city so much, I got into my car and drove off to my penthouse,

      I ordered pizza, but I still couldn't cook to save my life, I  went back to making finishing touches on my new necklace designs,  I got my pepperoni pizza and paid the delivery guy,
   I looked around my apartment, I hadn't had any friends in two years but I had never felt as lonely as I did at the moment, maybe knowing the fact that my friend was 60 minutes away was not helping,
      
        I dialled her number so many times just to tell her that I was doing alright but I always put down the phone not knowing what to say and being short of words,
       I couldn't take the loneliness, anymore, putting on my coat, I stared at the clock on the wall, which reads 5:56 picking up my umbrella, the weather forecast did say it was going to rain today, I made my way out of the apartment, I took a walk,
     I walked into Starbucks and got myself some coffee and a piece of chocolate cake, I spotted an empty seat beside the window, and went to sit,

           I sipped my coffee, and closed my eyes enjoying the background voices I could hear consoling me that I was not alone,
 At least not right now

     I stare at the familiar house, I can't believe I drove myself to Lily's house and at this time of the night, I groan damn it, T, well since am already here I should go inside and say hi or get beaten by Lily for not calling her for so long,

    
  "I love your new look, T, you look so badass I almost didn't recognize you"
"Do I look that different?" I curiously asked I did change my look so as not to get noticed
"Not, you look like an updated version of yourself " using her hands to explain or dance yep I don't know what she was doing, we have been drinking, and Lily can't hold her liquor well I guess she is already tipsy

"How was your stay in Italy, tell me everything" she gushed like an excited kid who was promised candy,

    I stare at kelvin on the far side of the room glaring at me, it is way past midnight, and I can't believe we have been discussing for hours now, after all the weird hugs and shoulder punches I received, Lily welcomed me with a bone-crushing hug, forced me to stay over the night we discussed a lot of things we missed out in our lives, I found out that they both had a cute son named Zion, I feel so bad for missing so much special moment, she refused to let me go clingy unto me much to her husband dismay who had welcomed me warmly as well, but got jealous when his wife happen to be paying more attention to me,

"Am not sleeping yet, we still have so much to discuss" she argued shaking her head
"Am tired Lil we will continue our discussion tomorrow alright " I pleaded
"Alright then let's sleep in the same room like old times," she suggested, I turned to see her husband glaring more furiously at me,
"I don't think your husband is going to like that lil" I discouraged, not ready to be murdered in my sleep,
"Fuck face should deal with, I miss my girl beside its  girl before Hus "  I chuckled at her weird cash phrase and her husband's weird nickname am glad I came to visit, I feel like some weight has been lifted off my shoulders
"Nope, babe we are going to bed right now," he said coming inside the room, he carried her on his shoulder towards the direction of their room ignoring her orders to put her down, someone is possessive
"Put me down this instance Alien bunny " she yelled muttering other words I couldn't hear knowing Lily I knew she must be swearing at him, I laughed at the cute couple, I wish I could have a love like this,
     Well maybe am not destined to have a happily ever after, the first guy I fell in love with, his betrayal was too hard to handle, it broke me I had so many beautiful plans for my future with him, I was so happy, I loved him so much and was excited to get marry him I even already bought my wedding gown, cheating on me would have been much better, than him been part of the conspiracy of my fake death and the death of my father, my poor father who did nothing but trust so much, I will avenge my father even if it is the last thing I do.
