Chapter 23

  Tiana POV

   "You look beautiful," he said, immediately I opened the door for him, It took hours doling myself up to look pretty today, I went shopping yesterday looking for the perfect dress, I had a lot of dresses in my closet but none seem to be the right dress at that moment, a blue side slit mermaid dress and paired with a 3inch silver Sandals  heels, I straighten my hair curling the tip a little to give my look that classic vibe,
    I picked up my matching silver clutch, 

  "Are you nervous?" Tony asked opening the car door for me, 
 
  Yes I am fucking nervous
"No am not " I denied avoiding eye contact with him,
   I have been thinking about a lot of things since the night he told me about this visit, how do I act?
What should I say? 
What if they hate? 
Can we pull this up? 
Will they believe our story?
"Are you sure you are not nervous I can see your hands shaking and you have been biting your lips a whole lot which tells me a lot " I released my lips, I didn't even know I was biting,

"No am not " I yelled facing the window, he chuckled, focusing on the road, I frowned knowing full well that I was the source of his amusement,
"You know Ti, I mean Ellen my family are nice people they don't bite," he said casually like he was asking about the weather, "but I do, on the other hand, hard!!" he whispered in my ears, I jumped up in surprise glaring at him,
  He laughed pointing at me,
"You should have seen your face "
"Tony" 
"Yes ma'am "
"Stop talking and focus on driving "
"OK Ma'am" he mocks salute, I glared at him, scoffing at his childish behavior,
     I smiled silently to myself, knowing he was able to cheer me up in his little way and it worked perfectly,
     We got to Tony's house, I looked at the beautiful flowers around the mansion in awe, The person who planted all these must-love roses, as it was filled with different colors of roses,
     Tony rang the doorbell, and we both waited patiently a lady who seemed to be in her late sixties with chestnut brown shoulder-length hair that was styled in a bun, opened the door, she smiled lovingly at him, she was dressed in a simple purple gown,

   "Nana," he went over to hug her they were in their little bubble for a while before she noticed my presence, isn't he too old to have a Nanny,
"And who might this lovely lady be, " she asked smiling Lovingly at me, I couldn't help but smile back, she looked like a nice lady
"This is my wife, Ellen Rossi," Tony said wrapping his hands around my waist and pulling me closer to him in a possessive manner,  I stiffened at the sudden gesture quickly composing myself when I realized that this was normal for couples,
"Ellen, this is my nanny Kim but I call her Nana" I smiled offering the lady a handshake which she refused, I was surprised when she hugged me instead,
"It's so nice to finally meet you, Tony has told us a lot about you" I looked at Tony mentally asking him what did you tell her about me,
    He ignored my questions leading me towards what seemed like the living room, the house was beautiful having this homely vibe,
        I saw a beautiful woman approaching in a rush, she seemed to be in her mid-forties, she was dressed in a green off-shoulder straight gown that reached below her knees, her hair was pulled in a ponytail, and she was complimenting the outfit with a black Mary Jane shoes.

      She came closer to me, and without waiting for an introduction she pulled me in a tight hug squeezing the life out of me,
   "Mom, please don't kill my wife, let go  we haven't even gone on our first honeymoon yet"
 
"Shut up, this is your fault, you kept my daughter away from me for so long "
" This is for keeping my daughter-in-law away from me for so long, " she said pulling both of  his ears, 
 
"Ouch, Mom let go you are embarrassing me in front of my wife " he pleaded, trying to detach himself from her grip,
  "And you even ignored my calls"
"Mom, am a man, I can do what I want"
"A man that wet the bed till he was fourteen"
"Mom, you promised not to say that In front of my wife "
"You promised to introduce your girlfriend to me when you got one"
"I guess you taught me how to break promises then" 
 
      I laughed at the duo enjoying their cute banter, suddenly missing my mom,  they were at it for a while, and I couldn't say or do anything to stop their banter.

 
  "Honey, please let go of him, you can punish him later why don't you entertain your daughter-in-law first " I stared at the man in his mid-fifties, Tony is a carbon copy of his father,
"Oh yes you are right darling, come along dear, I have a lot to show you"

     She let go of Tony and grabbed a hold of my hands leading me to what I assumed was the kitchen, she showed me around and made me feel at home, I also met Tony's younger brother who was also charming as well,  
          
    I had a lot of fun, I became sad when I was about to leave, I was jealous of tony he had one 
big completely happy family the only thing I have ever wanted, I stared at them longingly wishing that I was part of this family, I felt bad at this moment for lying to them,
  "So what is your plan," Tony asked, bringing me out of my thoughts we just got back from dinner with his family and it was a success, his family  welcomed me warmly at first I thought his mother was not going to like me but she warmed up to me pretty quickly we chatted all through the night about our wedding plans, she even offered to help me with the preparation, I didn't want to go all out because we were not going to marry for a long time but I couldn't say no to her,

"Sabotage " I answered with a smirk getting out of the car,

"What do you mean by sabotage? "

"It's simple we are going to ruin their wedding "
"How are we going to do that?- what's the plan? "
"Am going to tell you the details later " I yelled to a confused tony who was staring strangely at me I walked towards my apartment, and paused turning around to say,
"Good night Tony " I yelled, waving at him,
