Chapter 19

   "I am so desperate right now Lily, I can't believe I blurted out that I had a husband in the presence of Mr Cameron and made up a silly story about why I couldn't answer his last name"
"Why would you do that!, is pleasing Mr Cameron so important to you? "

" yes it is but I didn't mean to blurt out that I have a husband and infant I don't know lil I just wanted to get the deal so bad that I blurted out everything and guess what he invited us for dinner" I huff "No husband, no deal when Mr Cameron find out I lied to him, It going to be terrible for me" and I can't have that when am so close,

"What am I going to do lil?"
"Calm down, why don't you pay someone to act as your husband for the night " she suggested
"That could work but I don't have enough time to look for the perfect someone, the dinner is tomorrow night, I can't just pick anyone off the street and have them act as my husband"

"True, we need someone quite familiar with you, " she thought out loud.

"Do you have anyone in mind? " I eagerly asked, wanting to hear the solution that could get me out of this mess,

    You and your big mouth T,

"I think I do, but I don't think you are going to like it " she warned

"Can't you see am desperate lil, I don't care who the person is, I just need someone that you can trust to act as my husband for the night that's all" I begged.

"Alright, if you say so, but I warned you, " she grinned. Which was suspicious but I didn't pay any mind to it, I was eager for help. How crazy can my idea be?

"Okay okay, thank you so much lil" I smiled.

"Do you think Mr. Cameron is going be satisfied by just having dinner with your supposed husband?" she asked, I haven't thought that far.

"He should be that's a lot to ask anyway, am sure everything is going to run smoothly" I frowned.

"Things never go the way you plan when it comes to l... " she held the baby monitor"Zion is awake, I need to go check on him, I will be right back "
         
      I don't know what Lily is worried about how bad can it be, everything is going to go smoothly.

    I have been waiting for my supposed fake husband for about 30 minutes now, this is annoying, we were supposed to be on the way to Mr. Cameron's house,

"Lily are you sure he is going to come, " I asked Lily for the fifth time tonight,

"Relax, he is going to be here any moment from now, he promised me" The last sentence was not meant for me but I heard it anyway.

"Am freaking out " I yelled.

"As I said relax, stop walking back and front it's making me dizzy, "I muttered "Sorry" sitting beside her on the couch,
"Am you sure he I......."

" Finally, He is here" she cuts in

"How do you know that, " I asked surprised. Standing up to glance at my mysterious husband of the night through the window.

"He sent me a text " she shrugged. I turned back to the window trying to get a glimpse at him.
  
    "Tony," I said surprised, no way, don't tell me he is my fake husband, I looked at Lily for an explanation, I hadn't seen him in two years.

"What, I did warn you, remember you said you were desperate" she declared

"Yes," I answered, not knowing where she was going with this whole talk,

"Desperate people can't choose, they settle for what they are given " she finished with a smirk while I glared at her wanting to get that smug look out of her face,

      "I have to go now, my baby needs me " I knew she was using Zion as an excuse to escape, greeting tony with a hug she made her way up the stairs leaving us in the awkward silence.

      I stared at tony who was equally staring at me not knowing what to say "Hey " I muttered, and he waved in return without saying anything, I frowned what was his problem, I was trying to make a conversation, can you please try to help me out, I yelled in my head.

  "Stop staring at each other, move out you got dinner to attend remember" Lily yelled from up the stairs, we both nodded and walked out of the house,

   Remind me to kill Lily later for putting me in such an awkward position, she could have informed me so it was not a huge surprise, but I didn't prepare myself to face him. Not yet. Not now. After the way, I walked out of his life.

       He opened the car door for me, while I muttered a small thanks telling him the address of Mr Cameron's house.

        The car ride was so awkward and tony refused to utter any word to me, staring intensively at him, he looked just the same a little more handsome and muscular than before on a general note he looks hot, but I don't get why he refused to say anything to me,

"Thank you for doing this for me on such short notice it means a lot " I sincerely thanked him.

"I didn't do it for you, I am doing this for Lily" he coolly replied, is he upset with me?

   Probably who won't be

"Thank you anyway," I said ignoring his Clippy tune,

"As I said, I am not doing this for you, no need to thank me" Okay I have had enough of the attitude. I guess am opening the can of worms.

"Are you mad at me or something?" I asked turning to face him, he kept his eyes on the road without sparing me a glance, I don't know why but I felt a strange pain in my chest,

"Should I be?" He answered

"Not that I know Of" I replied having enough of his attitude
  "Okay let me brief you on everything you are supposed to know, to get our stories straight"
"Okay," he agreed, at the moment I missed the fun Tony, the one that always says weird things the one that has a terrible voice but still sings anyway, what changed in two years?

   Hypocrite you changed as well

  I guess a lot can happen in two years,
"We eloped and got married two months back, I haven't been answering your name because my grandfather is against the marriage, but after much pleading and seeing how much we love each other, he consented to it and we will be getting again married"

"Okay, do you think all this is going to work " he mocks with a smirk,
"That's why you are here, make it work " I sassed

"We are here," I said, as he parked his car in the familiar yard,

"Tia... Sorry Elena this house looks familiar " he drew out
"It's not, am sure your head is just playing with you, I have a lot riding on this so please help me out",

     I rang the doorbell Mr. Cameron opened  the door with a bright smile, I was about to greet him when the worst happened,

" Grandpa!!" he said or more like yelled

Grandpa? " I thought out loud
   "Tony my boy," Mr Cameron said, what the hell is going on? this can not be happening to me,
      Am I dreaming, no this can't be happening to me, I pinch my hand to know if I am dreaming,
"ouch" Yep I am awake,

Why is this happening

Am I cursed or something, I looked at Tony for an explanation who looked just as shocked as I was.
