Sam holds the inner door to the bunker open while Dean carries your limp body down the stairs. Rowena and Crowley step into the map room as Dean lays your body on the table.

"Bloody hell, Squirrel! What did you do?" Crowley snaps. He wants his throne back but not like this.

Rowena is looking over your body and the blade. "Fuck you! I would never hurt her, she did this to herself so I could escape." Dean yells back at Crowley as he turns to Rowena. "Her last words were to get her to you. She said you would know what to do?"

Rowena looks up at Dean. "She is correct, I know what needs to be done." she pauses for a split second.

Dean shakes his head. "Why am I hearing a but coming?" he grumbles.

"I know what needs to be done but we have only one chance to do it." She says with a heavy sigh.

"What do you mean, one chance?" Dean's frustration is thick in his voice.

Rowena takes in a deep breath and lets it out slowly. "If I'm right, which I usually am, she modified a Resurrection Seal."

"That's the spell you used to bring yourself back to life." Sam interjects.

"That's right, Samuel." She says with a soft smile.

"Why hasn't she come back then? What's the problem?" Crowley joins the conversation with concern in his voice.

"The problem is the modifications she made to the spell. Her soul is temporarily trapped in the blade. It has to be removed to release it and resurrect her." She explains.

"Then why don't we just pull it out?" Dean leans over you, reaching for the hilt.

"DON'T! Don't touch it. If it were that easy, dear, I would have done it by now. I have to find a spell first. It must be spoken simultaneously as the blade is pulled out. If it is not timed just right, her soul will be released into Purgatory, and the demon in her will have full control. Freya would be lost to us forever." Rowena lets out a big sigh as she lets the revelation sink into everyone.

"Ok, spell timed perfectly, or we lose her forever, and the demon side takes control. How long do we have?" Dean replies never moving his eyes from you.

"By my guess, maybe thirty minutes before her soul is trapped permanently in the blade, and her demon side will awaken." Rowena warns softly.

"Then why are we standing here?" Sam interjects. "I can help you with the spell if you need it." he adds.

"Yes, that would be appreciated. Dean, keep her warm and talk to her. Your voice will help tether her soul to the living." Rowena turns to move into the library, she looks back over her shoulder. "And whatever you do, DO NOT disturb that blade in the slightest."

Dean leans down and whispers into your ear as he runs his hands over your hair, smoothing it out. "Hey baby, Rowena is working on bringing you back, so I need you to hang on for me. You need to come back to me." He takes a shaky breath. "I just found you again, baby. Please don't leave me this time. I'm the one that's supposed to die and come back, not you. Please, just hold on, Freya. Stay with me, listen to my voice, hold onto it."

Fifteen minutes later, Rowena and Sam come rushing back in with a book and items needed for the spell. With only minutes left on the clock, Rowena and Sam race against time to put together the ingredients. Dean watches anxiously as the countdown continues in his head. Rowena looks up at Dean with her hands poised above the bowl. " OK, dear, this has to be timed perfectly. I'll give you the signal, and as I do, you pull the blade out slow and straight as you can. We don't want to knick anything on the way out."

Sam starts handing Rowena ingredients as she reads the words from the book. Dean's gaze flits from watching your face, the blade, and Rowena. Sam looks up at Dean. "It's almost time, get ready." Dean poises his hand over the handle of the blade, afraid to disturb it before it's time. Rowena continues reading the spell as she holds her fingers pinched together, holding the last ingredient over the bowl. She nods her head as she drops the powder in to the bowl, as flames ignite in the bowl, Dean slowly, steadily pulls the blade from your heart. As he does, a green glow flows from the blade down to the tip and radiates across your chest. Everyone watches with bated breath for you to wake up. Seconds pass and there is not even a sign of breath. As the clock ticks, Dean looks up with a concerned look on his face.

"Shouldn't she be awake by now? Why isn't she awake?" His voice fringed with panic."Usually, it should have worked by now." Rowena replies sheepishly as her concern grows also.

"I pulled it when you told me to! I tried not to go too fast, did I do it wrong?" He whispers almost to himself.
Rowena reaches across the table and touches his hand gently. "You did, dear. You did exactly what I told you to do."

Dean watches you for even a fraction of movement to tell him you're alive. "I don't understand?"

Rowena lets out a low sigh. "We could have been wrong about how long she had been under. It could have been something to do with how she altered the spell." She shakes her head as her eyes start to well. "I'm sorry, dear." She breathes out.

Dean's legs give out from underneath him, he leans against the table as he lowers himself to his knees. Sam comes up behind his brother and squeezes Dean's shoulder, knowing there are no words he can speak to help his brother. Dean holds your hand to his forehead as he silently starts to weep. As everyone turns to leave Dean alone with your body, Dean's head quickly shoots up. Your body suddenly arches off the table as you gasp for air.Dean stands up, gently touching your face as he talks. "Freya? Baby...Baby, please just open your eyes."

Everyone stands around the table anxiously watching your chest lightly rise and fall. "Please, baby. I love you. I need you to open your eyes for me." Dean continues to whisper against your fingers as he holds them against his lips as if he's trying to breathe life into you. He feels your hand tighten around his, and a few seconds later, your eyes flutter open.
"Dean?" You say, trying to take in your surroundings.

Rowena takes a shuddered breath as a small tear slides down her cheek. Sam gives her a gentle hug as a smile spreads across his face.Crowley chuckles under his breath. "I knew you were tougher than that, little one."

"I'm right here, Freya. You're safe and at the bunker. I did just what you told me, I got you to Rowena." He whispers against your forehead.

Dean helps you sit up. You look around at your family surrounding you. "I'm so sorry. I know you have questions, and I can explain everything," You say wearily.
"I think we can wait, my dear. That spell has obviously taken its toll on you." Rowena replies. "I most definitely want answers, so start talking."Crowley interjects roughly. Everyone looks at him with daggers in their eyes. Dean lets out a low growl.
Rowena looks at Dean with a soft smile. "She needs to rest."
Dean scoops you up into his arms, caring you bridal style. "Rest, then questions." You rest your head against his with your arms wrapped around his neck. His lips hover over yours. "Don't ever do that again." He whispers against them as he carries you to your shared room.
